First pair I ordered had various loose threads and started to come apart before I even put them on. Thankfully Amazon exchanged for a new pair. The new pair lasted 3 months before the glue started to separate from the sole - and now if I step in a puddle my foot gets wet. I don't do anything rigorous in these - I walk to the car and wear them at work in the office. This used to be a great brand, but there is absolutely no way these are worth the $100 they are charging. Maybe $20 is more reasonable given they don't last very long.
This is my second pair of these workhorse shoes. The last pair lasted more than seven years of almost daily wear. I went though three sets of laces and am only getting new ones because the wear on the soles is finally reaching end of life. Excellent quality and a true to size fit for my 15D feet. The new ones look great and fit perfectly.
These are my second pair of Keen Austins. The first pair were great and still are although, I've almost completely worn the soles off, I've had them since 2008 and wear them regularly. I bought another pair in 2012 shortly after (about 3 months) the soles started separating from the leather on both sides near the toes, about 4 inches in length. I can stick a finger into the gap and feel my toes. The left shoe also has a weird deformity above the big toe area, which pushes into my toe when walking. I no longer wear the newer pair. Keen's quality has taken a nose dive, beware if you are a return buyer expecting the same quality.
I have been wearing Keen safety boots for a while. They are wide, comfortable and have held up well. So I took a shot and bought these shoes. They are just as good as the boots. Quality materials and well made. They are extremely comfortable. I would recommend.
It is hard to imagine how this shoe could be worn and not cause a multitude of comfort and functionality issues. It is simply too rigid, clumsy in design and simply not useful for walking (on soil, rocks or wet environments.)I am personally a shoe person, former mountain hiker and someone who has owned many different shoes types over decades. It may be that it is a stylistic idea (shoe trend or "look") but the design and materials are not ready for real-world use.Sorry Keen but this is not your shining moment & I have had my share of your shoes in the past.
Always love Keen brand of footwear and these are no exception. Excellent workmanship and long lasting casual shoes. Bought a pair of sandles that lasted nearly 10 years. Loved them so much, I decided to try their casual shoes. Very glad that I did. Bought these to replace an exact same style I bought about 8 years ago.Buy a pair and see for yourself
KEENS SRE A GREAT WORK SHOE,DIFFERENT FEEL FROM MY LAST PAIR,STILL COMFORTABLE
