We’ve had our daughter in this shoe since age 3 and we buy a new pair when she grows out the last ones. She never wears them out. They are perfect for any child: sturdy yet comfortable and lightweight, toes protected, they can get wet but dry out quick, easy to wash with just a soak in baking soda water.
I purchased these for my 5 y/o granddaughter. For the last 3 years I have bought her Keen sandals. She wore the Keen newport style the first year and they wore very well. She is tough on shoes and wears sandals almost every day in the summer. She loved them and said they were very comfortable. The closed toe is great protection for her foot. She could run and jump without any issues. With the velcro she can put them on herself. You can adjust the bungee cord for a better fit also. Last year I tried the seacamp style and my granddaughter liked them even better. They are lighter and more flexible. They still wore very well. Since she is growing I had to buy another pair this year and went right back to the seacamp. She has been wearing them every day since I bought them. Highly recommend Keen sandals and the seacamp for a bit more flexible, lighter style.
Love these shoes so much, we are on the fourth pair for my 7 year old. The toe is sturdy rubber that won't wear out and withstands abuse. The nylon material dries quickly and does not hold moisture for long, so it is perfect for exposure to water. It is easy to clean and holds up to machine washing. Mud, dirt, and sand easily washes off with a hose. It is well-ventilated and therefore lets feet breathe during the hottest and most humid of summer months. We live in Florida so these are worn year-round and hold up to rough play by active children. Don't settle for the cheap copy-cats, you won't be disappointed with these!
This is the second pair of Seacamp CNX's I've bought for my daughter (size 5 @ age 2, now size 10 @ age 5) LOVE how lightweight and versitile they are. My very active kiddo has worn them every day for a month - no blisters, no stink, no visible wear and tear, no complaints. They're as cute with a play dress as they are with jeans. First pair (when she was 2) had the stitching on the Velcro give out in the first month. Shoe was unwearable, so Keen immediately credited us the full price of the shoes. NO hassle - BRAVO Keen customer service.Sizing runs SMALL. Daughter wears 8 in Cat&Jack (Target), 8 in Spotlights (tap shoes), 9 in Champion sneakers (Payless), but needed a 10 in these Keens!!!Also, the CNX toe box is less roomy than the Newports, which is fine for my petite daughter, but not for my son's puppy-paw toddler feet. His feet fit in the Newports better, but I dislike how heavy the Newports are. Still looking for comfy shoes for him.

We bought these for our daughter because when we take walks or go fishing, we need to have some thing to protect her feet. I also wanted to let her feet breathe with the hot months, and these were a perfect solution to every day use. From walking to running fishing and everything else she uses these a lot. Was a great purchase, and the colors are very nice.
