Got these for my 6-year-old who just able to try them out after our first big snowstorm. He played in snow up to knees and his feet/socks stayed COMPLETELY dry! He also said they were warm and comfy. We live in the northeast and have gone through our share of snow boots, including nice brands like LL Bean. But these are hands down my favorite. They have great traction and seem super durable and well-made. I also like that the liners can be removed to wear for rain. Size 12, ran tts. 5 stars for sure.
These boots are affordable AND completely waterproof, rugged, and warm with removable wool liner. Many color and size options ie. the only boots you’ll ever need. The draw string at the top to keep snow out is another excellent feature.
If you're on the fence about these, definitely go for it. My 4yr old son loves them, he says they're super comfortable and more importantly even with just one pair of relatively thin socks he can play for hours in the snow, and while his hands might be freezing, he says his toes stay warm the whole time. I honestly couldn't believe it because I've gotten my kids much more expensive winter boots that didn't keep their feet this warm but sure enough when I felt his toes after coming inside, they were warm. Not only that but the winter insert comes out very easily and then you have a pair of regular rain boots with that awesome drawstring feature so that water doesn't splash into the boots as easily. His other rain boots end up being little buckets of water after he's done running around through puddles LOL. Love these!
I bought one size up on both pairs - a 4 for my daughter (she wears a 3) in pink and they came in just as I ordered and I ORDERED a size 3 for my son (he wears a 1, but they were out of the 2) in navy blue, but I was shipped a size 4. I'm not exactly pleased, but he HAS to have boots and I don't have time to ship them back and wait. If he doesn't have boots for school he can't play on the playground (even though there's no snow on the ground right now). SO! I will keep what I was shipped and hopefully they'll be able to wear them next year. That being said the kids say they still "feel really good and warm" and they're excited that they can take the insert out and use them as rain boots - they've never had rain boots before.Pros:- I LOVE that they are rubber all the way up - no way should they leak like the "waterproof" fabric ones ALWAYS do.- The insert is great quality and if I add a nice pair of wool boot socks she should be all set.- Can turn into rain boots- Light weight- Great Price- Replaceable insertCons:- A little wide even with the insert- I didn't get exactly what I ordered, but that's not about the boot itself.- ...I'm a little concerned that because it is rubber all the way up it doesn't bend well with the ankle. I think they'll just have to get used to the way it bends. I just hope it doesn't crack or wear out or something. They seem to be light - they didn't sound like horses galloping when they were walking through the house for testing.Overall, I really think we're going to be happy with these. I will add an update once we get some real snow to test them with.***UPDATE*** 1-17-15Well, we finally have had some snow. The kids LOVE THEM! They tell me that their feet stay toasty and they like how tall they are. They're still excited to wear them as rain boots. They've held up really well so far. The soles are still good and I even like how the shaft bends for movement. The only thing that I'm not impressed with and that doesn't seem to make much of a difference is the elastic pull at the top. I mean, I guess it's so they don't get snow in their boot, but my kids don't have thick legs. SO they can pull it all the way tight and it doesn't really do much. BUT! I still love these boots. They wash off really easily from mud and gunk and you don't have to worry about them drying. The liner is removable. I don't think I'll ever buy any other kind of boot. I hope they never stop making these.
I’d definitely buy these again. Very well made and keep my sons feet warm and dry
Love these boots for my boys! They are warm and waterproof. And they are easy enough for them to put on and take off by themselves. Just purchased the second pair for them.
