The Georgia Men's GR262 Industrial and Construction Shoes, commonly known as the Georgia Giant Romeo, are an exceptional choice for those seeking a blend of style, comfort, and durability. Crafted from full-grain leather in a rich soggy brown hue, these shoes not only complement your work attire but also transition seamlessly into casual settings.
The upper material is both durable and soft, ensuring that you can wear them throughout long shifts without discomfort. The inclusion of finger pulls and stretchable fabric at the opening allows for easy on-and-off access, making them perfect for busy environments.
From the inside out, these shoes feature a high-performance lining designed to keep your feet dry while maintaining a lightweight feel. Coupled with a cushioned mesh-covered insole, your feet will experience exceptional comfort even during extended periods of wear. Additional cushioning is provided by the EVA midsole, which not only enhances comfort but also adds to the overall structure of the shoe.
The Goodyear welt construction ensures that these shoes possess an outstanding level of stability and durability. This method of construction allows for the outsole to be easily replaced after years of wear, providing a sustainable option for your footwear needs.
A key highlight of the Georgia Giant Romeos is the incorporation of a steel shank, which helps maintain steady footing and provides arch support, essential for anyone working on their feet all day. The slip-resistant polyurethane outsole resists abrasion, chemicals, and oils, further enhancing its reliability in various work environments.

When I first got my first pair at 10.5 I could not fit half my foot in the shoe, they seem a run smaller than indicated. So I got a size up to 11.5 and I struggled a bit to fit my foot in the shoes but I got in, the first few days they boots do run a bit snug but after 4-5 days of wearing them and breaking them in, they are very comfortable! and well made pair of boots. I’ve been wearing them everyday for work, 8+ hours and I am very satisfied!
I am purchasing my third pair of these. Previously I bought the Timberland Madison. Timberland makes a good product, of course, but these have lasted longer by quite a bit. Very importantly, as these wear out (I get about one-year+ out of them. I’m a biggish guy and rough on everything) they remain very comfortable. The Timberlands got less and less comfortable until my feet hurt like crazy. These have better slip resistance. I wear them until there’s no tread on them. Love them! Great work shoe. By the way - this is the first review I’ve ever done (I’m pretty sure) and I’ve made thousands of purchases on Amazon.
So as a big-footed man wearing a Size 17, I have always been struggling to find a boot or a shoe that fit true to size. Skeptical at first about purchasing and the price point for a sturdy shoe, I took a leap and bought this quasi-boot shoe... okay, fine... work shoe.I was amazed... and humbly satisfied. It fits as if it were a sneaker, but has the sturdiness of a boot (DUH IT'S A WORK SHOE). And most boots (IT'S MODELED AFTER ONE OF THEIR BOOTS, GET OFF ME) you may have to get a size smaller due to it being a bigger type of footwear, but not this one. It truly fits to size. No need to upscale or downscale. My foot is an odd one: I can fit either 15EE, 16W, or a 17M. I opt for more toe room, so I aim for a 17M mostly.Toe room: Roomy. My foot is a little odd, so I love toe room to utilize the toe muscles more effectively.Width: Definitely as expected. I'm flat-footed (ish), so my arch bulges past the arch cut, giving this ugly look in this fantastic shoe, but the arch support isn't *not* there; it's more that this shoe just supports your foot, and will mold to your foot.Arch Support: It's there. If you have room, then get some inserts if you need them. It's a snug-yet-roomy shoe. Kind of an odd way to say it, but it is. Very comfortable and conforming to my type of foot.Overall Fit: For me it gets 5 stars. I wanted to think about how other shoes usually run small or large... Not this... A 17M was right on the money, and I am a very satisfied customer.DRAWBACKS:Lack of variety when size goes up. Only this color is available in my size. I would like to have an all black version, and other varieties. I am definitely going to have more for dressing up, casual, an old pair to get dirty... It is super versatile.Another drawback is the insole. It feels like it is stitched... Should I just sit one on top, or should I pull out the standard insole? Anyone who has more experience, please don't hesitate to share.
These shoes, if you work outside, at almost anything, are the finest shoe you can wear. They are sturdy, comfortable, well made, and will last for years. Where I live, in rural Washington state , just about every guy I know wears them. You won't be disappointed in these shoes. Over the years, I've worn out several pairs... and am wearing a new pair, as I write this review. The price of them has gone up, but the goodness and durability have remained the same.
Men’s Georgia boots. Great boot for a decent price. Looks nice and fits good
I purchased these for my son. This is his third pair. He works on his feet all day and reports great foot comfort.
I bought my romeo's during prime day@ $62.99,very tight fit at first, after a week, they slip on snuggly but the leather has to get broke in(that's how they work) I put quality grease(Huber's) One would never need to buy another pair!
Fit perfect and are well made.
