I work at a casino in a 4 season area. I wanted something mid classy but practical since salt is used in between buildings when it's snowing. I need to traverse buildings from the administration building to the casino floor. Rain, snow, ice, salt are all components I have to deal with. As well as kitchens. I do I.T. work for the company so I am all over the grounds in various environments. As far as key components of the claim. Traction, waterproof, comfort. Yes, yes and yes. I just bring a little shoe polish to work they clean right up. They're built very well. Seams and construction are on point. I walk all day. Which brings me to the only "flaw". The dye on the inside. These shoes are not breathable, they're not designed to be. This is acceptable but ... feet sweat. When the feet sweat the die ruins socks. It's not washable. So it's trapping the heat inside the shoe and the sweat from the foot and all that die is collecting in the socks. I can deal with a non breathable shoe, a non breathable shoe thus means it's water tight. Just wasn't expecting the side effects of what that meant vs the elements on the inside of the shoe itself. I would experiment with 1.) changing the die type. OR 2.) changing the color. Wearing brown socks all the time is a solution but they're not really color neutral vs the rest of one's dress clothing.
Personally, I am very disappointed with this purchase, because although I liked the product and the materials with which it was made, its measurements do not correspond to the size chart that they have on the product page, as I show in the images. I have another of the same brand and it does not have that problem, as the images show. I will make this same comment directly on the brand's website. Unfortunately I cannot initiate a return because from my country it is very expensive. I'm going to have to find someone to sell it to and try to buy another one, but I don't think I'll buy the same one again.
I ordered a size 8 (yes small foot), they were more like a 10 when they arrived.
