This is my second pair of Florsheim shoes and I am pleased to say that they did not disappoint. These shoes are very comfortable to wear all day at work, although they are a little stiffer than expected. The leather is quite hard and will likely take a bit of time to break in, but they are still comfortable.

The Florsheim Lexington Wingtip Oxfort has to be the most uncomfortable shoe I have ever attempted to wear. The uppers are supposedly made of leather but fitted more like a hard plastic such as PVC. I have a small foot (7D) but even with a shoe horn and the laces being very loose I had extreme difficulty in getting these things on my feet. There was no "give" at all in the stiff uppers. Once the shoes were on my feet, I found that walking was painful. Fortunately I simultaneously purchased the same size Florsheim Medfield Wingtip, which does have leather uppers, and found them to be very comfortable straight out of the box.

Finish is excellent, but the fit is lacking. For 10.5 wide (EEE), these are too narrow. Compare to Rockport same size these are also about a FULL 1/2 inch shorter and entire shoe about 1/4 inch narrower. Hard leather upper at top of shoe edge rubs ankle raw; no padding at all. What's up with that sole? Part rubber and part(?) looks like painted on; can see over-spray on the black rubber part! Also, have a peculiar crinkle/bend developing in the top of the shoe after walking only a FEW steps on the big-toe side of the uppers; both left AND right developed this crease/bend.... Sending back.
I have older pairs of florsheim shoes (15yrs+) so i bought these for a wedding. They were very comfortable and fit very well. I hope they last just as long.
