Don’t listen to those that say these run large. I did, and couldn’t even got them on. I had to return the first pair and buy my usual size 40 and they fit like a glove. Greta style and very comfy. Love the limestone black combo.
Thank you Ecco for mixing things up a bit. Having worn Ecco Soft tie ups for dozens of pair over the year, these thick soled shoes have the same treasured fit. At first I thought they sent a size larger because the exterior sole is bigger than Soft 7, but inside my usual size 40. I got the white with black sole, not being interested in any other color and I love these shoes. They are not light weight at all, but good solid shoes with leather uppers. I expect several years out of these. Thanks Ecco.
great shoes - a little heavy but when you put them on they are supportive and comfortable out of the box. no real break in period but they will only get softer. i have wide feet and the width was fine with some loosening of the laces.
Good god, I love these shoes, aesthetically speaking. I mean, come on, they are freaking adorable and appear to be so well made. Being someone who has had rheumatoid arthritis since childhood and whose ankles and feet have a sundry of issues, I am always on the hunt for a fashionable shoe rather than my default trail runners. When I first purchased these Ecco Nouvelle, they felt a little tight In the toe box, but eventually stretched out by just trying them out in my house. But soon, I noticed the the sole was too rigid for me. I need a rocker-bottom type shape, or at least a heel strike area that doesn't protrude, forcing my ankle to work harder. The foot bed felt fine, but the shoe overall isn't going to work with my particular limitations.
Super comfortable. Soft leather. Size was accurate. I think these shoes are very versatile - I can wear them to the office, or out on the town, or traveling.

Love Ecco shoes. These are so comfortable, nice thick cushion on tongue. Not fond of the current sneaker style of so many shoes, so these are a nice hybrid of a sneaker and an Oxford. They’re funky and sturdy, have worn them without socks with no problem. Got the white, beautiful cream shade.
I have wanted these shoes for a long time. I bought them elsewhere and found that they were a whole size too big. So I ordered from Amazon in the smaller size. Unfortunately, the tie part rubs on my arthritic toe. The leather is supple and the shoes well made. I highly recommend these shoes, but keep in mind that you need to order a size down.
