This is one very attractive shoe; I never thought a shoe like this could be Gore-tex. You can dress it up or down. Eccos run large, so I got roughly 1/2 American size less than my usual and it fits just fine. I wore it in the rain a few days ago and it really repelled water. Highly recommended.
After trying hard to find an apparently discontinued model, I took a chance and got this instead. They feel good on my feet, and keep the water out. I just don't like having to tie my shoes so often. It seems once or twice a day I will have to tie them again. In fact, I just looked and sure enough, the left one was untied again. Compared with my older model, it is a bit harder to take off my foot, and is thinner and pointy, not a bad looking shoe. I could not see what the material was on the inside of the shoe and it is mostly textile, so compared with my older model, it's inferior, except just as waterproof. It feels like my cobbler caught the coronavirus and is permanently changed neurocognitively, used to make a spectacular shoe like the Seattle Apron Toe Derby some of which had all leather on the inside, and considerably more expensive and now, all the sudden, I cannot get the same quality anymore, but it is just as waterproof. I can continue to walk through puddles and feel my feet get a little cool for a moment, but they do not get wet. The textile on the inside of this shoe is black, and there is a strip of leather around the ankle, also black. The way the product was photographed, well, it just seems a little deceptive. Not unhappy, not remorseful, just wishing I could get one more pair of the ... oh wow I just found the last two pair on ebay, leather lined and brand new for $189. As for these 'Citytrays', as soon as my new shoes come in it will be 'Laterdays'.
