My daughter requires this shoe. We originally purchased them from a uniform store and paid over $120. I later found them on Amazon and returned them to the uniform store. She has worn them for 2 months and so far they are holding up very well. They look great with her uniform. She says they are very comfortable. The leather was not stiff, so did not cause blisters.I would size up as they seem to run a little small.
I bought a pair of these many years ago and was thrilled to find the same style on Amazon. These shoes are comfortable and I was able to find my size in a wide. I have found them to be true to size.I noticed some reviews indicated issues with the toe box. I found that both shoes had a large wad of paper used to keep the form that was easily removed. However, each shoe had an additional piece firmly wedged to the toe box side. It took a bit work to get these extra pieces out. I wonder if some of the reviews that have issues with the toe box width or finding one shoe fit and the other did not were because of this tightly packed paper. It was so firmly packed I thought it was plastic.Overall I would definitely recommend these if you need a comfortable pair of shoes.
I was saddened that the right shoe box did not fit as well as the left shoe. It was not padded as well at the top over the big toe and the hard "plate" that is under the padding cuts off right in the middle of my toe; it immediately caused intense pain and redness which would have resulted in a blister. The last pair of these Eastland Plainview shoes that I bought a few years ago fit excellently and there was no problem, so I was disappointed to have to mail these back. I would exchange them now, but I am afraid that this might happen again at such a busy season. I may try again in the future because these shoes are very nice and hold up well. Most people would not have a problem with this particular pair of shoes. (I have a larger toe on that foot and have to be careful that they are sewed just right in the right shoe box.)
My daughter wears a size 6 in these shoes so I bought a 6 originally. They were too tight and made her feet swell up. I returned them, sized up and got a wide width. Now they fit her great. The shoe is well made but be sure you size up a half size and get wide width. My daughter does not have wide feet but she needed it for this shoe. The shoes passed uniform inspection at her school so all is good there and she has happy feet that are not swollen and crammed into a too small shoe. Size up and get wide width!
I order my shoes a half size large because I like to wiggle my toes, weird I know but it is so. These shoes are aweful and extremely painful. First they have the look and feel of cheap plastic. They run a bit small but if like me, you have high instep and high arches they are not going to fit good and the pressure on the tops of the feet is very very painful. So would not recommend them for anyone with high arches and high instep. I have narrow feet so width is not the issue there but height of the shoes inside.
Eastland shoes are good quality. The price is decent, especially when I can find them on Amazon! This my third pair of this style. They are comfortable and are good for casual wear. I wear them daily to work. They have good support. The sole on my previous pairs has split at about the 1 year mark. I hope Eastland has solved this problem, but time will tell. They are easy to polish up and continue to look good after many times wearing them. I would recommend this shoe.
I have small narrow feet, normally wear a 5.5 or 6, wanted to wear with bulky socks so ordered 6.5 I was able to get my right foot in wearing a peds, the left foot on the other hand I was not able to slide in at all. Shoe uppers are very stiff. The bottom I thought would be more rubbery but they are rigid as well almost like hard plastic, I was concerned that you could slip on wet or icy pavement. I really wanted to love these shoes as I had something similar that were quite comfortable and a little flexible. These look nice but are super tight. I did also order a size 7 after I read some of the reviews saying they were tight and they too were just as narrow as the 6.5 just a little longer in the toe and heel area. For those that want to know if you can take out insole to replace with orthotics, yes you can. As for having the shoe stretched , I didn’t want to go to all the fuss and still have a very stiff shoe that needed to be broken in. My other shoes didn’t have to have that done to them, they were comfortable from the beginning. The size 6.5 arrived without plastic baggies covering each shoe, I didn’t find that a problem until I saw that the size 7’s were expertly wrapped and bagged, meaning that I must have received a returned item. Don’t mind that considering you are purchasing an online product. Just putting it out there after all this is a review. Would like to try a 6.5 wide but they are not available at this time.
The fit was good. Comfortable. I’m not sure that the leather is as good as years ago but I would order this shoe again.
