When it comes to evaluating the Cole Haan Men's Christy Wedge Gilley Oxford, three key aspects stand out: design, comfort, and performance.
Design: The aesthetic appeal of these wingtips is undeniable. With intricate broguing and a polished medallion toe, these shoes add a sophisticated touch to both casual and semi-formal outfits. Available in snuff suede, they can complement a variety of colors in your wardrobe.
Comfort: Built for comfort, the rubber sole provides ample cushioning, making them ideal for long periods of wear. Customers have praised the soft leather upper that conforms to the foot, preventing the discomfort often associated with new shoes. However, note that some wearers found the sizing slightly larger, so trying them on or ordering a half size down might be advisable.
Performance: These shoes are not just about looks; they are functional too. The lace-up design ensures a snug fit, while the durable construction means they’re built to last. Additionally, their machine-washable feature makes upkeep a breeze, allowing you to maintain their fresh appearance with minimal effort.

Great shoe! To my surprise, it is re-craftable by Cole Haan, which tells me it's a Goodyear welt. I'm not 100% but a note with the shoes says to have them recrafted when neededVery classy suede wingtip , but casual- great with cotton pants/chinos etcGreat for spring months
My girlfriend just bought these for me - a bit of a surprise to me but I suppose she felt I needed some casual walkabout shoe that still had a bit of style to them. I'm personally not a big fan of the thick rubber soles - feels like the sort of stuff that starts to fall apart after one trip off of the paved path and as a geologist I prefer a sturdier shoe for any occasion (I never saw much point in styles and trends and have always valued function over form) - but all in all, not terrible in trying them on and walking around a bit.I should offer a caveat - maybe think about order a half size smaller than you'd think you would normally wear. She also got me the Cole Haan Air Giraldo Wingtips (which to my surprise had the color on the bottom wear off after one walk across campus - I guess that is normal though I've never bought shoes that cost more than $50 in my life and usually go with hiking shoes so it came as a surprise to me) for dressier occasions. Both were size 13, but the wedges feel a bit too wide and long in the toe while the dress shoes fit perfectly. Not uncomfortable, though I will have to hold out on the final verdict until I've walked more miles in them.
They are extremely comfortable, and seem durable. They're a great casual shoe for jeans or some dark chinos. I ordered red laces to go with them.
not comfortable
I got these shoes for my husband because I thought he could use so hybrid dress shoes that are still comfortable and casual. I always trust Cole Haan's design and quality, and the price wasn't bad ($97) so I just went with it. The design is great as usual. I like that it inconspicuously gives a man height. However, I have two complaints. The quality is not that great. The rubber sole and laces are fine. But the suede is not soft and the inside seems cheap. The pictures are misleading because it shows that there is leather inside but it's only on the back for the heel. The shoe is not lined on the inside at all. I also bought Puma Suede shoes along with these and I can say the suede on the sneakers are way better than on these Haans.Next, my husband always wears a 9.5 but these are really really big. I would say about a whole size too big. They even look big when we wears them. They are wearable but he has to lace them up tightly and wear thick socks -- which defeats the purpose of wearing these sockless with rolled jeans. Ugh.Anyways, okay for the price but disappointed in the sizing and quality. I was really questioning whether these were real Cole Haans or imitations.. ?I would recommend going to the store and trying them on first and then ordering them on here.
My wife got me this shoe as a gift two months ago, it looked great. The suede started to tear after four weeks of using it twice weekly. For me it is worst shoe ever and I wish if I can send back and get refunded.
I know I get reliability and comfort out of Cole Haan shoes and that's why I go back to them. I wish they would bring back some of the good old basic styles, but I always like them whey I get them.
