I gave these sharp-looking shoes to my husband for his birthday, and he's crazy about them! Right out of the box, they were extremely comfortable with no breaking-in period whatsoever (for him, they are true-to-size). They look great with his khakis for Church as well as other social functions, and said if he were still employed (we're both retired) he'd wear these shoes to work every day. Highly recommended!

Whenever my heal presses into either shoe, it feels like there is some kind of shock absorber going on.
Just received them, so this is first impression. Shoes are nicely fitting around the feet, and pleasant to walk. They don't look like would wear more than 600km - less than half a year for me, but for the price it may be well worth it.Looking for a new shoes brand I could buy for a few years without try and miss exercise. From this perspective, I miss the ComfortPro from RedWing, which had black and brown models that I was wearing almost exclusively for past 8 years, and they were discontinued last year. These RedWings were good looking even after estimated 2000km of walking (1.5 years). Gave a try to a few models of Mephisto - but with the 2-3 times higher price than Cole Haan they may be more durable but surprisingly uncomfortable, and interfering with ability to walk fast! On top, flexible but heavy sole of Mephistos are not well suitable for driving - almost feels like a heavy boot!These Cole Haan Men's 2.Zerogrand Plain Oxford feel comfortable for walking and good looking for formal occasion, with a slight casual flavor to fit everyday use. If I find any issues after some time of wearing them, I will update.
