I bought these boots last summer, and they served me well at work. I wore them to cut down trees, dig ditches, and bust rocks in the mountains. They supported my ankles well, like actual women's boots, and the soles gripped the side of the mountain like glue. They are perfect for working on an incline. They're honestly waterproof, so they're ok for crossing small streams, but you have to step between slippery rocks, not on them. They do not perform well on slippery, smooth surfaces like rocks or ice. They are fantastic in the snow, though. The top closes fairly tightly, so very little gets in the top, and the tongue is attached to the boot all the way up, so snow doesn't get in the front either. That tongue was very annoying at first, leaving pressure sores on the tops of my feet, but the leather eventually submitted and the boots are very comfortable now. They're very warm... perhaps a little too warm in the summer. They're a little stinky now, and I need to start taking care of the inside as well as the outside. I've loved them too much. Still, these are the best boots I've ever owned, and I'd highly recommend them for anyone who needs to work their work boots hard.
I bought these boots just to wear, no special reason, other than I liked the looks of them. I found them to fit perfectly, wear comfortably. They are totally awesome! They are a lil spendy but u get what u pay for. I liked these boots so well I ordered another pair ,only in black.I love it that they are waterproof & insulated. My feet are always cold & my feet are nice & warm. These boots are fantastic. I wear them most of the time. Its hard to go back to any other shoe. I highly recommend!! I wish they would come out with more colors!!
Historically, my purchased work boots have been smaller than other shoes because they all ran large. These however, run true to size. PERFECT boots! Great high quality. The only thing - and this is by no means a reflection on the boot itself - is the lace. Both boot laces, when they are at the top and ready to tie off only give about 2 inches/both sides to complete. If the laces were about another 1.5-2" longer, the entire product will be 110% perfect for me.
Everything
A bit narrow but love the boots
I ordered a half size up and they are still too tight. I got them for work and even put inserts in them and they still make my feet hurt alot even after a couple of hours.
I love these boots. This is my 3rd pair. I have back issues and these boots make me feel great. Comfortable right out of the box, all day, everyday!
The search has ended for warm, waterproof and fashionable boots for winter-these are fantastic. I wear them with light smartwool socks and my feet are always kept dry and warm. I live in Chicago where our winter is messy and intense, these have even been great for winter bike commuting. They are not bulky, but do have a little weight to them. If you like the look of RedWings but wanted something for winter these are great alternatives, they look great with outfits and transition easily from practical to fashionable. The heel is also very flattering!
