One of the most troubling things concerning footwear is not just finding a pair that fits, but one that fits perfect. After having some minor trouble with Ariat work boots in the past, I have to say that my search is over in finding the perfect work boot.Nothing feels better at work than having a perfect pair of boots, because your feet are your most used tool. There are a few things to say about this boot, and about Ariat boots in general. Most importantly is the type of foot support used. Ariat has several different types of support that they use in their boots ranging from entry level to maximum comfort. This boot uses ATS MAX, which is as good as it gets for work boots. These boots give a ton of support for your feet which translates to less foot fatigue. This is incredibly important, especially for working conditions, because lack of support promotes poor posture, puts stress on knees and lower back, and lessens productivity. I would not purchase a pair of work boots with anything less than what ATS MAX offers. The amount of cushioning and shock absorption is above and beyond what I would expect from a pair of tough work boots. But beyond that, comfort isn't the only standout feature of these boots. As someone who works in both oily and dusty environments, the oil and slip resisting outsole is great. Many boots like to advertise slip resistant, and to a certain extent no boot is entirely slip resistant, but these boots do a great job in my experience. The extra wide shank is great for working on ladders. Composite toe and Electrical Hazard rated are icing on the cake.I can't comment on how effective Venttek is, but combined with an effective moisture wicking footbed I haven't had a problem with temperature or sweat. I also wear thick wool socks which do a great job of moving moisture away. Nobody likes when their cheap thin cotton socks get soaked and start to slide around inside their boot. The worst thing about ordering footwear online is the uncertainty of sizing. I own quite a few boots from Ariat, both casual and work. Their work boots are where I've run into trouble in the past in regards to sizing. This boot however, fit me perfectly and true to size. It must be noted that leather boots are supposed to feel as if they might be too tight when you first put them on, because they stretch to form fit your foot over time. Work boots especially, considering the amount of stress that they go through on a daily basis. Just a matter of breaking in your boots, which only took a couple 12 hour days with these boots.I have also had problems with work boots in the past that have had the U-turn system, also fitting very loose in the heel and causing drag. In a sense that's to be expected even a little bit considering there is no way to cinch them tight like lace ups. However, I don't have that problem with this boot. In fact my heel is almost as secure as my lace up work boots which is saying something. In the end, this boot has everything I need and also compliments style in the process. It's true that everyone's feet are shaped slightly differently, and one design of boots may not work the same for two different feet. Just because it fits so well to my foot doesn't mean it will for everyone. My feet are pretty average with higher arches than normal, but in general my feet are proportionally sized to the rest of my body. I've owned many Ariat boots in the past and other than a few pairs of their work boots being too large, everything has fit true to size including these particular work boots. For what it's worth, as of this writing this pair of boots is $20 cheaper on Amazon than on Ariat's website.
Size is perfect, quality stitching ,solid work boot .. bought as replacement for original pair that are a year old in September and still in service..
Work boots for work , very comfortable, and fit from the time I took them out of box, I will buy again
Made with good material, I like the vented sides.
Electrical hazard rated, smooth step, water resistant, composite toe, the list goes on and on. I wear these boots out and about as well as to work just because of the level of comfort. I’d almost rather wear these than my sneakers around town.
I have a fat foot, so my pinky toe caught the edge of the composite toe for the first couple of weeks. Broken in, there the best boots I’ve ever had! Needs more arch support or a choice of insoles to make a cleaner fit for a Wellington, but other than that, a great buy! Waterproof and very, very comfortable! They got a customer for life with these ones!
I got these boots for my 13yr old son. He lives is jeans and boots so hes gone threw a few pairs. But he said they fit great and he absolutely loves the color and design!
