The quality and comfort are exceptional. My husband is Normally a size 10.5 xxwide but we had to get him a 9.5xx wide for the right fit. Definitely pick a size down as they run large.
Have a pair of Allen Edmonds ( AE ) dress shoes ( black color ) from 2000 that are great and still going strong ( only wear them once a month for special occasions ).My past experience with AE is VERY HIGH QUALITY, and wonderful warranty. These new shoes were a little tight and I expect some stretch-time, but my typical shoe size of 11W ( Wide ), … so went with a 3 pairs of 11.5E ( Wide ) and 12D for two black pair I wanted to try on, but cannot price justify at this time as I have other black dress shoes. This brown / tan color pair with stylish white lower-sides and spongy sole / tread are wonderful and the leather craftsmanship is what I would expect from Allen Edmonds.I will write back ( this review writing is Nov. 17, 2023 ) in several months of more intensive wear of this purchase to cover durability, fit, quality of workmanship / craft to follow-up, given the $200 to $300 price tag. At this price, and with their wonderful AE warranty, I am expecting 15 to 20 years of life for casual use.End :
I wear a size 7.5 is almost every shoe I've ever owned. My whole life, I have had skinny feet. I happened to be near an Allen Edmonds shoe store and they advised to get a 7 wide. I was shocked. And did not believe them. The first pair I ordered was a 7.5 medium and it swallowed my foot. Next I got the 7 and it fit - but just as advised, it was a bit tight in the sides. After 10 minutes, however, it stretched and the show has been perfect since. A very nice show - comfortable and nice looking. Sizing is a bit large compared to other products I've worn.
Really like the shoes. Had my eye on them for some time. Waited for a better price. Would have preferred the brownish red version. Have something similar in dark grey from Santoni. Disappointed only in the sense that they look like they have been bought and returned a half a dozen times. Leather in the toe has been flexed many times.
