The Allen Edmonds Men's St. John's Oxford is a remarkable blend of traditional craftsmanship and contemporary style. This shoe pays homage to the classic monk strap, initially designed as a sturdier alternative to the sandals worn by monks throughout Europe. The evolution of this style has culminated in the creation of the St. John's, a double monk strap shoe that seamlessly integrates a cap toe with exquisite perfing and pinking details along the toe and waist.
In terms of formality, the St. John's strikes an impressive balance, sitting comfortably between a balmoral and blucher style. This versatility means you can pair it with a tailored suit for formal occasions or dress down with jeans for a more casual yet polished look.

Great shoes, these are really nice, I do not recommend the lower-end Allen Edmonds but any of the leather soles - $400 and up shoes are worth it.
Shoes are perfect, fit the way they should.
Nice well made shoes but they seem to run large.
I ordered a Allen Edmonds St. Johns, Chili, size 8.5. I receive an Allan Edmonds' box and travel bags for each shoes BUT the shoes are UV SIGNATURE brand!! and size 9!! A TOTAL SCAM. Not Recommended, Its better to buy it in the original website.
Great shoes.. I didn't have the problem with the Squeaking the guy said from the last review.. You should try to get with customers service from Allen emdonds there really great company .. I have gotten a lot of compliments from the lady's 😉
several defects
I bought these in a 10.5 E, which has always been a perfect fit for me with AE. I could barely get my foot in these. Be warned that these have a much more "modern" toe box that is extremely narrow.Mine lacked any major defects or issues, but it's still evident that Allen Edmonds quality is nowhere near where it was in yesteryear. Everything is just a bit sloppier now. They simply lack the attention to detail one would expect with $400 shoes.
