I wasn't sure if I was keeping this boot before it arrived. After I put it on my foot and took a few steps I knew there was no way I was sending it back. The comfort is off the charts and the style of this boot truly impresses.This boot in Snuff Waxed Suede is a show stopper.Advice: Get your Brannock sizing (preferably from a physical Allen Edmonds location) before ordering to prevent any sizing issues.
I received a pair that had no laces pretty sloppy stitching and like a dent in the toe of one of the shoes.Shame because In theory these are cool boots but what I got wasn't
After +80 hours I couldn’t be happier. The chromexcel upper is incredible. The leather lining is super comfortable and the leather insole is like a pillow for your feet. The only bad thing about the boots are the laces but I replace them with a pair of TOFL laces. I’m sure this will not be my last pair of Allen Edmonds.Remember to choose half size down for a better fit.
The boot was ok but returned for a few reasons. First, the insoles are not removable and there’s not enough arch support for someone with a high arch or someone with any arch support needs (ex: plantar fasciitis).Second, at the base of the tongue where the laces start the leather is not permanent stitch flat so there is a chunky rounded portion of leather that can get caught, stick out and be uncomfortable for the top of your foot.And while this isn’t a problem necessarily with the shoe, it is a problem if you purchase the shoe through Amazon and need to return. Even once the boots are returned and verified received, because the item costs more than $300, Amazon will not credit your return for 30 days. I’m going to say that again, buyer beware that Amazon will not return your funds - even if you purchased with an Amazon gift card and/or Amazon credit card for 30 days after receiving your return.
Right on the bridge area of the feet, the tongue of the shoe, it is not a one piece; they have two pieces of leather sew together, so the edge of the connection keeps poking the bridge of your feet. If you ever had a shoes lace stuck between Bridge of your foot and the tonge of shoe, that is exactly how it feels. Extremely uncomfortable!
