I dont feel like Heman Munster in these. Lightweight and tick all the boxes for the Shipyard. I need another pair.
I gave these boots 5 starts because leather boots with logger heels (better for your feet and posture) at this price point is unheard of, and genuinely there is a reason for that. A few things of note, wrong in the product listing: These are soft (Celastic really) toe NOT safety toe. The boots are black NOT brown. The leather is top grain NOT full grain. Regardless the boots are well oiled top grain leather. A packing insert in the box actually had oil splotches on it. This is a good thing, meaning the leather is conditioned, not coated, so owners can condition this boots to last longer. The tongue is slighted padded, adding a bit of comfort for the top of the foot. Nice thing during initial break-in. My feet are almost exactly 9" toe to heel and a 6.5 fits perfectly. These are womens boots and it said that in the listing, but someone was upset thinking they were ordering men's boots. These are great boots for the price point. These are not PNW boots, nor do they pretend to be.
Wear a 7-7.5 and ordered a 7, which fit fine but: the other reviewer mentioning a weird bump in the right boot was correct. Seems to be where the heel is attached but there is a very strange raised lumpy area there, only in the right boot. Otherwise these are pretty solid- very heavy. Not a lot of support but not bad.
I think the pair I received are defective.
Very nice boot, good sturdy arch for arch support issues but it doesn’t say anything about the arch. People without arch issues would probably find it uncomfortable.They are also not composite toe like the title claims. They do mention soft toe later in the descriptions, but the title is very misleading.
