This is my second pair of these. The soles wear well, don't slip and are quiet. The leather uppers I put mink oil on right when they were purchased for water resistance. they are the most comfortable, long wearing shoes I've had in a long time. Even the laces are great. I'm actually still wearing the first pair (still with original laces) I bought 5 years ago. I bought this second pair to have when and if my originals die. Needless to say, Sketchers make fantastic shoes!
I bought these to have a little better looking shoe that I could work and walk a lot in. The memory foam sole is great. Bought them a little wide to allow my toes room and that has worked out well. The don't squeak. They are warm. In the hot summer it could be that I have to take them off to cool my feet. So far this winter, I haven't had a problem.
The Rilar Oxford is overall an OK shoe:PRO1- Generally comfortable fit2- Very generous toe box (both width across & vertically top to bottom)CON1- Although it has a good insole, the outsole & midsole are not as thick/supportive as say a hiking boot2- The "Desert" color is not the orange-brown on the screen, it is just a milk chocolate/mocha color
I have only had them a few days, but they may be the best shoes I have ever owned. I like them a lot. Update. I wanted the brown, but could not justify the sharp increase in price, so I went with the desert. I applied mink oil to waterproof them and pooffff, I have brown shoes. The desert color was OK, but I like them better with the mink oil on them.
I am satisfied with the shoes, they are well made and reasonably priced. I ordered size 11 wide, which I have worn for years, but there was too much room in the toe area, while they fit perfectly in the heel area. Just a disadvantage of not getting to try them on first, and I could have sent them back, but I just bought some inner soles instead, to tighten them up a little.
Fit comfortable right out of the box. No pinching or tight spots. To be sure, there is a break in period but it's very brief. I really liked the look of these Oxfords. You can wear them with casual pants or jeans. The insole is definitely comfy. Lots to like about these shoes. I'll definitely continue to buy other Skechers brand shoes.
when I buy new ones I can use them for 3 months after that it is no longer usable
