We love these for my son and these are 1 of the few styles he can tolerate. First off, the shoes are light in weight. They are leather uppers and man-made soles. This particular model is much softer than other models and it makes it easier for him to put them on alone and they don't require as long a "break-in" process. They are very durable. His last pair(daily use for 10 hours a day) held up extremely well. He never complained about them(and usually he hates dress/school shoes). The footbed is supportive, yet well cushioned. The sole shows signs of wear on appropriate areas(tread) but never any cracking in the material of the soles. It took me a few tries to finally get the correct model shipped to us, but we were thrilled when they got the right ones to us! This is our 3rd year wearing this brand(School Issue) and this particular model/style. It's our "go to" for his dress/school shoes!
My son wears a size 5 so i bought the 6 for him to have some room to grow into but the shoes is way too big. Best to buy the exact foot size and you would still have more than enough room
