The Deer Stags Boy's Dapper JR. Loafer is a stylish yet understated choice for kids who need a reliable dress shoe for formal occasions. Made from simulated buffed leather, this loafer combines both aesthetic appeal and comfort, making it ideal for school uniforms, parties, holidays, or any special event.
Product | Material | Sole Type | Closure Type |
---|---|---|---|

Stride Rite SRT PS Sam Loafer | Leather | Rubber | Slip-On |
Nina Kids' Sassy Loafer | Textile | TPR | Slip-On |
When it comes to dressing your child for formal events, the Deer Stags Boy's Dapper JR. Loafer stands out as a top contender. The simulated buffed leather not only gives off a polished look but also makes maintenance easy—just toss them in the washing machine when they need a refresh.
The TPR sole offers flexibility and grip, allowing kids to navigate various surfaces with ease. Whether they’re standing still at a family gathering or dashing around at a school event, these loafers provide stability.
Another highlight is the lace-up closure, which allows for a secure and adjustable fit. This is particularly beneficial as children grow, ensuring that you won’t have to frequently replace shoes as their feet change sizes. Additionally, the contrast stitching and pull tab lend a playful touch that enhances the overall style without being overly flashy.
However, while the Dapper JR. is designed with practicality in mind, it could benefit from a bit more cushioning for longer periods of wear. Moreover, the limited color palette might not appeal to every child's individual style. Despite these minor drawbacks, the Dapper JR. remains an excellent choice for a hybrid dress shoe that's as versatile as it is fashionable.

The fit is perfect and my son and I both love that they are a no tie dress shoe!
Yes, so comfortable
These were so cute and I really wanted them to work for my son, but they seemed huge! I even checked to make sure the correct size was sent.
Love these shoes for my son. Very stylish and comfortable. Love the faux laces. Easy slip on.
I got these for my 7 yr old because he doesn’t have any nice shoes to wear to church, and these look really cute on him and fit him really well. They look good for all seasons, and he really seems to like them.
This pair of kids’ shoes is well above average quality, as you should expect from a “name brand” product. This review is specifically for the “Deer Stags Unisex-Child Dapper Jr. Loafer” product.• The materials used in producing this shoe seem to be top quality.• The outer sole bottom is a nice solid material that should have good durability and gives traction when walking.• These are good for better occasions, as they don’t have thick tread soles. Also, these shoes appear to have tie-up laces but really are just stretch pull-on shoes.• The pair I received was good production quality and tidy… nicely finished work.• The design is attractive. Our boy and my wife both like the look. This boy is nearly 8 years old as I write this, slim and a bit above average height. The size 2 shoe is just a bit too large and will probably fit him well when he’s around 8.5 years old. These seem to align with other size 2 shoe designs.
I’ve bought deerstags for my son’s school shoes for many years. Great quality, last a while, affordable price. I don’t know where to start with these. As soon as you take them out of the box, you can see they look like a foam based product, especially the soles. The shell of the shoe feels like the foam version of particle board. Had no other choice, my son wore for one day said he continually fell as the shoes have no traction. No kidding, foam typically doesn’t. Won’t be buying this brand again, I’m so disappointed
