These boots are amazing and very comfortable. I used to wear Red Wings but the toes would not hold up with my job. Those were very nice boots though. So I found the Dr. Marten Duxford boots. I liked the toe cap but they were very heavy and there was no room for my toes to be comfortable. I typically work 10 hour days and some weekends so I really needed a boot that would not kill my feet but would offer me a larger toe box and a met guard. Found these boots and ordered a 10.5EW, 11D, and 11EW to see what would fit me better. I'm typically an 11 in my shoes but read where these fit large so that's why I got the 10.5EW.Out of all 3...I decided to keep the 11EW. They feel so good on my feet. I double-sock and there is enough room for my toes to still be comfortable. The 11D's were not bad but I could feel the edge of the composite toe cap when I moved my feet around and I didn't care for that. I could not double-sock in those either. Not a bad boot but I wanted the room in the toe box. The 10.5EW didn't work at all...too small. I recommend getting the EW version if you want your toes to be comfortable. The 11D had room but I could feel the sides of the boot so I knew my toes would rub throughout the day and I didn't want that. The insole is legit...6mm of thickness at the toe and nice heel support. If you have a thinner insole you'd like to use then you may want to consider the 11D. I tried them with a thinner insole in the 11D and 11EW and I still preferred the EW feel of the boot. I don't have wide feet either. I wouldn't be too worried if you have a thicker insole you'd like to use if you got he EW because there is plenty of room...at least in the pair I have. The leather is soft, bump guard on the toe is a plus and the padding in the boot is very comfortable. They remind me of the Red Wings I liked so much. I've been wearing these around the house for a few days to break them in and have had no pain in my feet at all. I'll update my review once I start wearing them at work but right now I am very pleased with them and I'm planning on getting another pair when I'm able to with work.
I have worn Wolverine steel toe work boots for the past 20 years. They have continually upped their game and comfort and protection. These Boots are by far the most comfortable Wolverine boots that I have had the pleasure wearing on a daily basis I wear boots anywheres from 12 to 18 hours a day driving as well as working on the job site they are extremely comfortable. The only change that I made was dying the boots black with your over-the-counter shoe polish/dye I also changed out the boot laces to black, they looked a little bit much like hiking boots for me I prefer all black boots. I highly recommend these boots to those that are looking for comfort and a boot that they can walk in all day and not have their feet sore at the end of the day. They also add a bit of height I am typically 6ft 1in and with these boots on I stand a bit taller. I haven't measured exactly how much of a gain that I get but it feels as if it's about three quarters of an inch.
