Not quite as good leather as same boots owned in 2000s but very durable , wedge sole seems better and lighter
I very much like these boots. Light weight, cut, & looks. The toes taper nicely to a rounded toe and not at all boxy. When I first put them on, I thought the boots were a snug fit. However, the leather is soft and after only wearing a few times is molding well to my feet. They are VERY comfortable to walk about in. These will be for casual wear since I have other boots to work in. I'm tempted to buy another pair in case these go out of production. These boots have my OK for anyone with average width feet.
I’ve worn Wolverine pull on boots for years. As they’ve discontinued certain models I’ve had to move up. I’ve been wanting to try the Wedge sole, being everyone is going back to them like it was 30 years ago. I work mainly in the dirt, mud, snow. Working around Cranes from MN to TX. The more aggressive heeled soles are great in the mud, but walking on steel isn’t as safe being a heel will snag & can trip you. Mainly why I’ve been wanting to try a Wedge sole. I wear a Medium 11, these boots came in fairly snug at the toe. Immediately I mixed up Rubbing Alcohol & water, 70/30 heavy on the alcohol. I used a rag & rubber the toes down good for a minute. The alcohol opens the pores of the leather, you can literally feel the boot start to loosen. Then wore them for about 2hrs in the shop. First day on the job they did great. I was in half dirt & mud. The NE mud stuck to them like a wet feather, but was easy to wipe sole clean. Not quite as spongy on the sole as I expected, but wore really well. I bought these off Amazon as I new my size. Not sure what a wider toe would fit like, but after 2 days, I didn’t notice the snug toe. The leather is thick, but flexes well after it’s started to work in. I bought the non steel toe, as I hate freezing feet in winter, I’ve always worn the composite toe in other models. Some reason they don’t make a composite toe in this model. So yes I have enjoyed them this summer.
Admittedly, I usually wear "lace up" boots so this was a new experience for me.My heel developed a blister after less than 2 hours. Maybe I'm just not used to "cowboy" boots, but they weren't for me.I gave them a 4 star because they seemed like a quality boot, they just did not fit me well.
I was surprised to have such Quality.Leather is soft and beautiful. The fit is perfect and craftsmanship was outstanding.I go thru 2 pair of work boots a yr. Wolverine is my new boot company. Goodbye to Georgia boots. Georgia boots have the worst soles. Dont hold up!!!!!
My husband has been using Wolverine boots his whole construction career and I always have bought the same ones. They were delivered today and I have to say, with the price of the same boots going from $88 to $151, it’s very poorly packaged, as well, the quality of the particular boots are subpar. The top of the right boot has a tear and the left boot has a hump (my husband said when he stepped into them).
I was kinda unsure about ordering this boot (W08285) WOW i was wrong! This boot is awesome and super comfortable. It does run true to size. The leather is awesome and looks like it will wear even better. The wedge sole is nice and soft and doesnot pick-up pieces of gravel. The color is perfect! Don't hesitate to order this boot. The only regret i have is i read reviews saying it runs a bit large, WRONG!!! Wish i ordered my actual size 11D(M) no break-in period needed, don't forget leather will give and stretch a little. I couldn't wait to use it and can't return it but may sell-it to a friend and order my actual size. Happy feet at the end of the day is a good thing.
Bought these for my husband for Christmas. got the 12 w.. toe box and width fit, but loose hill and slipped when he walked.. Returned. Wondering if a 12 would do the same or just buy a different brand...
