These boots are more comfortable than Timberlands. I know your saying, “yeah right”, but it’s true. Wolverine I-90 boots are comfortable, durable, affordable, and they look awesome. Whether you are sporting a country style, an urban style or for work, its my opinion the Wolverine I-90 boot will be your go to boot. I won’t buy another boot as long as the Wolverine I-90 is being sold.
Im very pecky about my work boots that I spend 8 hours aday in 4 to 6 days aweek. And also pecky by how the boots I wear look on me since I wear size 8 ¹\² and I don't boots that are really big looking. So there were absolutely perfect the look the feel. I would wear these around town. But yeah I probably should got a size bigger. But I know once im 6 months in to wearing them they get broken in and end up fitting perfectly.
I walk a lot for work (~1700 mi/yr) and bought these mainly for the expected increase in tread life (6 months is normal boot lifespan for me.) Sadly, they seem to wear as fast as the Durashocks I normally wear. The boot feels dramatically harder to the foot than the Durashocks, as well; I had to put a thicker insole in them. They did get better, but initially the traction wasn't as good, either, especially when wet.But as expected with Wolverines, they needed no break in, they held together as the should, and they were still all-day comfortable (just not as comfy as the durashocks.) They just didn't offer enough extra life to justify the harder footbed and reduced traction, so my new pair of Hellcat Ultrasprings is already on the way, they are like walking on a cloud compared to the I-90! The Hellcat's taller toebox also makes a much more attractive boot to my eye.
I've worn Wolverine for a couple of years now and I have not been let down. I do A LOT of walking in a tough construction environment with chemicals that have worn previous shoes in less than 6 months. Wolverine's boots give me a minimum of a year without much problem. I tend to polish the leather to help protect it but you should expect some maintenance on genuine leather or it will wear faster.
Nice boot. It was very comfortable right out of the box and I have problem feet. The quality is good. I don't wear my boots every day so for me they will last a long time.
The boots themselves are very comfortable and durable but the soles are very slippery on wet surfaces. Don't grip well at all.
Fit good in 11.they are lighter than my other durashocks. Been in driving rain and feet stayed dry although I didn't know it till I took them off. They are Amazon customer verified extremely water resistant. One note they came in a generic brown box which almost had me return them after all the reviews of fake Chinese everything. I am glad I did not.
I bought extra wide and they fit very tight around the top part of my foot. Been wearing them for 2 weeks and will not give to break in. Wish they were wider the sole and leather are high quality.
