In terms of durability, the Wolverine opanka constructed outsole ensures that each step you take is met with resilience. This design allows for better flexibility without compromising on strength, making it ideal for various activities, from outdoor adventures to everyday tasks.
The 7.25-inch shaft height offers adequate ankle support, which is particularly beneficial if you find yourself traversing uneven ground. Good quality boots
Working as a mechanic these boots are the most comfortable boots I've found with out spending 300+. The boots will take a beating, which is why I keep buying them. If you are on your feet all day they provide great support and comfort. My only gripe is maybe a tad narrow but there fine as the break in. I do have really wide feet though to be fair.
Great work shoe. These are my second pair purchased. Not available here anymore in local stores. Ordered same shoe as my old ones and fit was perfect.
I am a scenery studio supervisor, and I have been wearing Wolverine WO5484 boots for years. They fit great. However, the insole is usually pretty thin, and I have to spend another $10, to wear a $100 pair of boots. This new pair seems to have an improved insole, and feel pretty comfortable. My only other gripe is that the laces need to be about eight inches longer, as I always double tie them, so if they should snag on something they don't untie. All that being said I can put these boots on, right out of the box, and wear them all day. No break-in time required. Thank you, for your on time delivery. They showed up at my door on the day you said they would.
I buy a new pair of these boots about every two years and wear them daily (literally every day of the year). They are comfortable, durable, and IMO look nice. That being said they do get warm in the summer (especially now that I have moved down south from Wisconsin) as they are waterproof and don't breath very well so I am probably going to switch to something that is not waterproof for the warmer months. Otherwise highly recommended!
The overall fit was good but the insoles could use some work. Not much in the way of softness or support. For me the heel is way to firm and there’s virtually no arch support. I’m going to try some inserts and maybe that’ll fix my issues with them. The shoes have held up well to the weather and my work and don’t show much signs of wear. Overall I’d rate the a low B.
These are my everyday boots, meaning I wear them every day. They are comfortable close to "out of the box". I use them while doing walkabout mowing, hiking through thickets, walking on roofs. They last about a year, pulling away from the sole in the front toe and by the side of the heel. With glue they last another year as seconds. After several months not really waterproof but water resistant with added "Mink Oil" or "Leather Proof". I am on my fourth pair now.
I am a roofer. These are great boots for roofing. I’ve been wearing them for about 5 years now. (No, not the same pair. I replace them about every six months)Pretty good traction. Soles are soft enough to grab but stiff enough for all-day ladder work.Great waterproofing out of the box.Insulation (Thinsulate) keeps my feet warm in winter and don’t overheat in summer.Good ankle support when walking horizontal on steep roofs.Excellent quality comfortable boots.
