I've been wearing the Wolverine Durant boots since 2015 - and while they don't have the most durable sole out there (When I was driving a semi truck and doing a lot of walking I'd have to replace the insole about every 6 months, and the whole shoe once a year) they are by far the most comfortable safety-toe, anti-slip work boots I've ever owned. And I will continue to buy them for as long as Wolverine makes them. (Please, don't ever stop making them, Wolverine!)
This will be my 2nd pair. I had the first pair for almost 2 years. I wear them every day to work.
Good boots. They replaced higher end boots that cost over twice as much and I frankly think I like these better. That said I changed jobs so I never wear them any more. Still, they were great when I used them.
I bought these 6 months ago and they’re already ripping at the seam where it meets the sole.
I have a wide foot, and it can sometimes be a pain to find shoes or boots that fit well. These fit very well and are comfortable. They also look nice.
This boot looks great, feels good, & costs less than many similar boots. I have wide feet, so I ordered the wider boot. Unfortunately for me, the steel toe cup in the toe isn't also wider. My left foot feels the edge of the cup even with thick boot socks... While my right foot doesn't, thst makes me suspicious of just how well made these boots are. I also had to replace the paper-thin insole liner with a better one. Foot health is too important to have discomfort of any kind. I'm returning them.
I bought these shoes as I was going to Nepal for volunteer work and will be doing hard labor rebuilding schools destroyed in the earthquake of April 2015, in mountainous areas of the country. When I received the shoes and tired them I didn't like them. They were lose and it felt like the left boot was poking into my ankle a bit too much. However, I didn't want to take shoes that were not broken into for the work. So, I forced myself to wear them and break into them. Did that for an hour a day for 4-5 times.Fast forward 18 days of volunteer work, wearing the shoes 10 hours a day, hiking up and down the mountain every day, a distance of 5-6 km.My opinion is, I never felt as sure footed, as I felt in these, ever in my other hiking shoes. They are a wee bit on the heavier side but it is because of the steel toe and the awesome treads on the sole. The steel toe of course saved my toes multiple times. My recommendation, if you are looking for sturdy shoes, to hike in and also to work in...buy these. I love these so much, before I used these, I wanted to donate the shoe after my work in Nepal. But after using them, I couldn't donate them and bough them back with me :)
These boots didn't even last 5 months! I've purchased boots in the past from other retailers that have lasted almost 2 years. I wish I could get my money back for these. I would give these boots zero stars if I could. The fit was great but the durability is my issue. The lace loops are falling apart and the toe covering already has holes in them.
