Quality boot, although not made in the USA! Comfortable & good looking. My only advice is, as in all Wolverine boots they run large! Every other manufacture I always wear a size 10. But, with Wolverines I always have to order a 9&1/2 wide to get a proper fit.
So I've had these boots for about two months now, 1 month of daily wear. I work indoors on concrete, 10 hour shift and do at least 10 miles a day sometimes 15. I wore these for my first week and the next week I wore some Nike running shoes that actually cost more than these boots just to see if there was a difference. There was, a huge difference. The boots 100% are better than the nike shoes. I weigh 190lbs and that just crushed the nike shoes. Every step I took I could feel the sole just squish down offering 0 support for my heels.What you'll immediately notice about these boots is that the soles are super thick. Maybe a little to excessive but its like that for a reason. When I walk with these its super comfortable, perfect toe space, and because of the thick sole, awesome amount of support for a big guy. I have feet pain every evening when I get out of work with these boots but thats to be expected when you walk that amount everyday. When I wear my Nike running shoes, the pain is unbearable and I feel it right away. Hands down Id take these boots over running shoes any day. The support is there, the protection is there. It has happened to me numerous times when walking around wooden pallets, while wearing mesh running shoes, a piece of wood or nail sticking out catches the mesh and makes me trip. With these leather boots, never happens.These are only my second pair of work boots so I can't really comment on the quality of leather, but I can say it feels nice and smooth. It does get scuffed up really easy but who cares, these boots are for aesthetic appeal. They have good traction as well. I still have the original insoles and they seem to work just fine. I wouldn't consider switching them out until they're wore out. The only thing I did not like where the laces, they just felt cheap, I swapped them out from the laces on a moc toe boot from Academy that I bought a while ago that didn't last but the laces where nice.
First off I must say that I have been wearing Wolverine boots for the last 10 years. I have always enjoyed the excellent comfort and durability. So far these boots have not failed to meet my expectations. These boots are pretty comfortable right out of the box and need very little break in. They do run about 1/2 size large compared to the other Wolverines that I have owned, but I had read reviews and I ordered them a half size smaller than normal. They fit perfectly. After one day of wearing them they feel great on my feet. I am a carpenter that is standing for the most part of 8 hours a day. These boots keep them comfortable all day. The only thing that I did not like about the boots was the insoles. They are a bit thin, and don’t support my high arches very well. I am sure they would be good for someone without high arches. I did have to send one pair back to Amazon because one of the boots was bigger than the other, but the customer service is second to none. They had the new pair on my doorstep in two days and free shipping for the pair I returned. I think that these boots will be very durable, and they should have a great service life. The build quality is great. The soles are also awesome for construction. They grip well on many surfaces and are easy to clean to keep from tracking dirt in houses. I highly recommend these boots along with other Wolverines, and I recommend buying them from Amazon.
These are very comfortable boots. They seem really well-made, and the leather is very sturdy, but soft enough that it doesn’t require a long break in time. They are comfortable right out of the box. What’s good to know is that the sizes run really large. I normally take an 11 to 11 1/2 and I ordered the 10 1/2 and it was still too big so I returned them and bought a 10. I was a little apprehensive at first, but I tried them on and they were comfortable and they fit. So I would order down the size a full size. Nice looking boots. You won’t be disappointing. And the price range is more expensive than the cheap boots but about half the price of Danner or equivalent boot
I'm on my feet most of the day and into the night on all kinds of terrain and these work boots are super supportive. The boots aren't bulletproof and indestructible so if you weld or kick metal around they probably won't last forever as the material is a softer leather. But if you are on your feet all day bending, lifting basically working your rear end off these boots will work just as hard with you.Going back to comfort as I weigh over 245lbs the sole material and construction 'bounces back' with every step there's no hard wear or tear on the soles as I have had mine for over a year and they are just as good as the first day that I purchased them. You couldn't ask for a better boot, plus, they look really good and go with jeans like peanut butter and jelly! Just had to throw that analogy in there. A casual look fits well with the craftsmanship. Because the leather is supple and soft there's no 'break in' time they come right out of the box with a nice cozy feel. If you're in need of steel toe these boots come in a steel toe variety. Good stitch and welt construction like the product description says. The sizing for me was spot on right as I wear a size 11 and the boot fits well true to size. I do like to purchase other work boots from time to time to test them out and compare but I can honestly say when these finally wear out I will be purchasing another pair.
After reading the reviews, I opted to go with a half-size smaller. Unfortunately, the size 10 was a tad small, so I exchanged them for a 10.5 M. Unfortunately, I was sent a 10.5 extra wide. They obviously fit me a little wide but I didn’t want to go through the trouble of exchanging them once again, so I kept them. These boots appear to be well constructed and they are very comfortable out the box. I’ve worn these several times since I got them and I’ve had no problems or complaints.
I like these but I don't think their being made anymore, and it's a good price
