When it comes to work boots, comfort and durability are paramount. The Wolverine Men's I-90 excels in both areas thanks to its EPX technology. You’ll feel the difference almost immediately as the cushioning provides support that remains consistent, even after long hours of standing or walking. The composite toe is an impressive feature, offering substantial protection while being significantly lighter than steel-toed options.
The waterproof aspect of the boot is particularly noteworthy. With a breathable membrane that allows moisture escape while keeping water out, these boots are ideal for wet job sites. No more worrying about wet feet ruining your day—these boots have you covered.
The grip from the rubber lug outsole is also commendable. Whether you're navigating muddy terrain or slick surfaces, the slip-resistant feature is a definite bonus that enhances safety.
However, it's important to note that the boots may require a break-in period. While many wearers find them comfortable after a few days, initially, they might feel stiff. Furthermore, if you're accustomed to lighter footwear, you may notice the extra weight of the composite toe.
Overall, the Wolverine Men's I-90 Waterproof Composite-Toe Work Boot stands out as a top choice for professionals needing a reliable, comfortable option for daily use.

Great purchase, good return on investment.12-month review...I do light construction, residential remodeling, heavy yard work. Finally got annoyed with $60 level of boots that didn't have the support and protection and wore out in 6 months. This experiment, paying roughly 3X that amount, has paid off. These seem like they will extend out to at least 2 years. The biggest decline is compression of the insole, easily addressed.Yes, the outside is lookin beat up, but it's holding up well.Went for kevlar laces along the way.Update: 20-month review...At the limit of serviceable.A hole opened up in the leather around the outside toe, probably due to abrasion from working in trenches. Not an immediate issue only because my climate is SoCal dry. Insoles compressed and worn. Toe box rubbing on the toes every morning for the starting few minutes every morning.Nevertheless, the overall leather shell remains sturdy, supportive. Not yet done with home construction, so I will probably replace with the same.Update: replaced with Keen Cincinnati.
The I 90 boots I have purchased our W10788. Best boots or purchase to date. I’m 53 years old and these boots served me well. They have lasted the longest and are more comfortable than all the other expensive boots have purchased over the last 37 years. I’m on my second pair in the photo is the new boots on the right and the used ones have blue laces out of para cord. Only reason I bought new boots is that the comfort went down after a year. The boots are holding well I just bought new ones they are on the right you can see I put them through living hell. They are just 3 days old. I’ll will purchase some extra sets to always have in my closet on standby. If you never purchased comfortable boots you may want to try a wider boot these are the wider ones. The tread holds well also. They do pick up small rocks at times also.
This is the second pair of Wolverine boots I've purchased, This pair fits better than the last one did, They fit perfectly. I'll definitely buy these again.
I'm on my 4th pair of these. I've tried other boots from other brands over the past couple years, I always return them and get these. Classic look, durable, comfortable, and you can beat a leather boot for keeping the water out.
I have been ordering this same boot for the past 10 years. I have worked in the oilfield and the construction business and these hold up VERY well. Very comfy, narrow enough for my feet, take less than a day to break in. Throw a little mink oil on these and they will last awhile depending on the elements! I work in concrete with a lot of water and mud and my feet stay dry. I also live in Arizona and my feet don’t get hot and sweaty either!
I choose they shoes from several different brands and though they are comfortable, , the quality of materials used is questionable. I bought these shoes for an apartment complex maintenance position so we are not talking heavy duty construction here. I actually really liked the shoes. They are very nice on the feet and offer a good level of protection. However there are two parts of this shoe that are lacking. The first, the shoe laces, would not have been a big deal. you can quickly feel the deterioration happening within the first couple of months. The second however is not acceptable especially after only 5 months of use. The clasp at the top of the shoe where one would wrap the laces around broke off at a point where it will no longer hold the lace. That should not happen with shoes that are this expensive. I gave the shoes a three because they are good other then the two things I mentioned. Its obviously too late for me to return them and that sucks.. Looks like I will have to be finding an alternative.
I’ve bought these boots a couple of times now and they fit my feet better than other brands. I do change the insoles out for ones with more cushion but it’s an easy enough fix.
Cheap made, very hard soles, toe area too narrow and the most worthless laces I have ever had on a pair of boots. Do not buy Wolverine products anymore, I give up on them, this was the last straw for me
