Not à fan of çomposite toes or steel anymore but these feel fine EW is perfect. Nice looking boot for the money.
These boots check a lot of boxes for me such as comfort, lightweight, durability, even looks, but unfortunately this boot is 0 percent waterproof. Even a little rain will soak the leather. If you work in a wet environment, these boots will not hold up, otherwise a good buy.
This is my second pair of these particular boot. They are very comfortable and have no real break in period. The best part is the slip resistance even on slick wet surfaces. Great for those who work on their feet all day.
In both right and left shoe there is a doubled up fold in the leather at the top edge, inside corner of the tongue. It's not supposed to be there. The sewing operator apparently did not bother fully to insert the corner of the tongue into the adjoining seam.It presses into your ankle bone sharply, and especially hard because it is behind the rigid bottom lace hook. Both shoes.Otherwise a well made shoe, but impossible to wear as is.I have not decided whether to tyr to trim it myself or return. I'll wait for the supplier's response.
I was not entirely new to wolverine products. I am also not specifically partial to any brand of boot or shoe. I go by fitment alone. I work in a meat department so I am on my feet, walking or standing, 9-10 hours per day. The things that are Important to me are width of shoe and toe box, durability, water resistance, safety and overall comfort. These boots specifically are a cut above any of the other boots that I have tried.First and foremost- I have an uncommon sized foot. Officially, it is a 12.5h. In other words, I wear the widest shoe that is semi regularly produce outside of special orders. Normally, wide shoes are simply not wide enough. The boots I purchased are sized extra wide, which I can tell you is true to that description. Next, I have owned these for 6 months now, wearing them everyday, for thousands of steps, and they are simply, a nicely broken in pair of boots. I have not found any typical signs of wear one might expect for the amount of use they get. They also do quite well in wet conditions. No leather boot is 100% waterproof, but these greater than or equal to others I have tried in the same price range. They are very nicely slip resistant and do well on bare meat room floors while wet. They have survived glancing knife cuts and the leather remains strong. Most importantly they are the most comfortable pair of shoes I have ever owned. They did not need new insoles after purchase, they did not need to be fiercely broken in, they just were very comfortable, affordable and durable boots right out of the box. Highly recommended.
They seem comfortable but the gusset on the right side digs into my ankle . I can only wear them for about 15 minutes. I will not buy these again.
