These are the best wolverine boots I have ever bought. The comfort level of them has surpassed my expectations.
The 12 X-wide were MAYBE wide, but not X-wide. I barely got my foot in the opening, and not wide enough inside. Sent them back and order another pair of what I had, Timberland PRO TiTAN from a shoe store. No Amazon retailers had a 12 XW (4E) this time.
The only down fall they are a heavy boot
This is the third pair of Wolverine boots I've purchased in the last couple of weeks. The first was supposed to be EW and wasn't wide at all. I gave them to my son, who has narrow feet. I then got a pair of these and had to return them because the left boot had a sewing flaw at the inner left ankle that caused considerable pain. The replacement arrived today. The right boot in the second pair had the same flaw. I should have kept the other pair until this pair arrived and returned the two defective boots. With some pounding with a hammer and compression with a c clamp, I got the faulty seem to lay flat and the boots are comfortable now. I don't like the white sole, but the price was right. They should be dirty soon enough. Also don't like the bright orange laces. I'll replace with brown. They are comfortable. They are indeed wide. I usually wear a 3E or 5E and these are wide enough, even with thick wool socks. Like others have mentioned the leather upper's surface is soft. They will for sure be scuffed quickly. They are work boots. They won't be pretty for long. Overall, I'm pleased.
