the 4th pair of these I've owned they last almost 3 years wearing dailyvery comfortable even during break-inthey support my wide 4X high arched foot nicelyI see others I like better but the comfortable is what I'm afterthey feel great in the store and only keep getting bettercomplaintsshoe laces are cheap and way to longthis pair is skinnier putting it onhard to get my arch to make the curve into the bootnot a deal breaker but if I have to be pickythey could be lighter.. but probably wouldn't last 3 years
In my opinion the Cabor by Wolverine is the best boot in its class! This is my second pair of Cabor’s! In every style of boot or shoe I wear either a 13 wide or 14 m because the foot bed is too narrow. Both pairs I own are 13 M that fit like a glove out of the box. The boot breaks in easy and my feet and back love them. (If you’ve got a thick foot try them on before you buy.)I’m a landscaper so my boots stay wet either from the morning dew or my sweat! The soles survive all terrains and the toe of the boot has kicked the backside of a shovel tens of thousands of times! My last pair made it through 3 years and I still wear them in bad weather to save the wear on my new ones! The only draw back on the first pair were the laces! But they’ve changed those and I’m hoping they’ll last more than a year this time!
The boots are nice but very stiff at the top made the ankles sore and uncomfortable they are wearing in after a week with is expected the weld at the inside just north of the arch is starting to come loose I'm gonna keep them just to see how long it takes for it to let go and I will give another review when I know more about the weld
Had these boots for about a month now. This is my first pair of Wolverines. They seem to run a little on the large size which is better than small. I just wear socks that are a bit thicker and problem solved. I really like the looks of these boots. I work in a lab and these boots fit right in with all the other workers wearing leather shoes. I also wore them on my land, I live in the Rocky Mountains, and was cutting trees and brush in the snow and feet stayed warm and dry. The only thing I would like to see improved is the laces. They are pretty thin and could be beefed up. I fix that with new laces myself. Overall and great pair of boots. So a quick update. Boots are still extremely comfortable. I do have to replace my laces about once a month. They do chew up laces. The metal eyelets wear laces quickly. May not be a big deal but be aware.
Our son has 3 pair of these, so ordered for hubby, 9 1/2m. At first felt tight, but after walking around in them, he got happy. At 82, he needs more support while working outside, verse his slip ons. Will continue to reorder as needed.
Was supposed to be carbon toe! They were just plan work boots!!!
This is my second pair of Wolverine boots. The reason I came back is that, and I do not throw this phrase around often, they make some of the most comfortable- if not the most comfortable boots I've ever worn. The interiors of these specific boots are soft, plush, supportive and will make long hours on your feet far more bearable than in most work-boots costing double this price (Redwings, etc.). That said, they are not light. They are not necessarily heavy- but they did lose a star due to the fact that I believe Wolverine could easily shave a half pound between the two boots and you might even be able to (dare I say) take these boots hiking. But as is, and this is unfortunately the case with most "work-boots," simply walking is a bit of a work-out and certainly clumsier than it ought to be. If you're hauling bags of cement at a worksite, you don't also want a bag on each foot. I digress...Personally I bought these to ride my motorcycle with as I am 5'9" - I ride a tall adventure bike and could use a thick soled boot to add an inch to my inseam. It's also nice to have a firm toe to shift with. Now, as aforementioned, these things are unbelievably comfortable- so I wanted to like them, I mean I really, really wanted to like them. You can lace them up tight and high, give yourself unbelievable support- but from where the laces stop at the bottom, internally- they suddenly balloon out into what feels like a clown shoe. They are so big in fact, that I found myself leaning forward just so that I could get the right angle to get my toe under the pedal shifter on my motorcycle. So, there you find why I deducted another star. So, I returned them. And I'm not too proud to tell you that- looking out my window, watching the UPS man take the box away... I cried. I don't know if one day I will find a boot that is just as comfortable, only it fits snugly all the way through to the toes. But a fella sure can dream... can't he?
I'm a 4E footwidth, so wasn't sure about getting these boots in a 3E size. I treated them with mink oil and Natur-Seal, wore them for a week, and they ended up fitting me perfectly. They're good looking boots, warm, and decently waterproof (snow, ice, slush, & puddles, no problem)- Edited/added after significant wear -These boots are holding up beautifully. I regularly beat them up at work (and play), and then bring them back to perfection with some wax paste. The insole didn't last too long (about a month of accumulated use), but I threw in a $15 pair from the local drugstore chain and all is well with my Wolverines.- Second edit/addition -It's been almost 2 years, and these boots are still going strong. Happy enough with these babies that I tracked down my review here to mention how great these are. Like Sugar Frosted Flakes Tony The Tiger Grrrreat!
