Tretorn Women's Viken Rain Boot, Yellow, 38 EU/7 B US Review

I usually wear a US8/EU39 with regular shoes, but thought I would go up one size with these because I figured if I were going to wear it during colder seasons, I would want the little extra room. These boots are lightweight and foldable. When I've gone to work on days where rain was predicted, I shoved these into a regular-sized shoe bag and stuffed it into my backpack. A teeny bit bulky in my backpack, but fit just fine otherwise. I bust them out to wear home when it started raining. They were perfect. No leaks, light, just snug enough, and even though I didn't use the drawstrings, it's great that there is the option to tighten and loosen them when needed.I did a lot of research on rainboots, and I was originally looking to buy the Chooka packables. I chose to go with these instead because of the boot shaft size. I have very skinny legs, so I hate wearing rainboots that my legs are swimming in. I was a bit apprehensive about the color; I don't normally like to wear bright-colored shoes. I usually stick to blacks, browns, sometimes whites or golds. I didn't feel confident enough for the yellow, and the black was too boring. I was also worried the red ones would sort of look like "Superman boots," but I definitely didn't feel like that wearing them!Sure these boots might be a bit pricey, but they are worth the money. Good quality, well-made boots that are light, packable and comfortable. Couldn't ask for a better pair of rainboots.

This yellow rainboot is completely awesome! It is so stylish and cute. The fit is pretty snug and it is true to size. I wear a C width and was able to fit into the shoe. I want to buy another one for a friend of mine who is the same size as myself. I noticed on Amazon that another company on their website 6 PM has lowered their price by $11 for a size 38EU/7B, making their price much cheaper than Amazon.com. It would be nice of Amazon could price match them, or even beat their price! If you are looking for a cute light rain boot, this is the one! Just be a little careful that your calves are not too big as the opening might be a bit tight for you.

I use a lot of rubber boots and it is hard to find ones that are nice and colorful, usually the boots are robust. These are very nice, though I would have wanted a bigger size.

EDIT 2018: Had those boots for 3 years and they are holding on! No leaking soles, no peeling on the outside or inside, no damage of usage. I still wear them everyday when it rains and I love how warm they are and comfy. Will buy another pair for my family.I had those boots since Fall 2015 and I have been using them every time that it rains! My feet stay warm (not too warm, I would wear warm socks) and dry and I had no leakage of rain into my boots. They are very comfortable and I love the style. I can wear thick socks with it and have no extra pressure added to my feet. Very nice boots!!!

I've had these since Nov 2020 & have liked how flexible the soles and the rest of the shoe are which makes it easier to keep up with my active kiddos. I generally trend toward foot shaped/barefoot/minimalist shoes, so these were a pretty good true rainbow option. They do run narrow, so even with fairly narrow feet I needed to size up which made the fit kinda sloppy. But even worse now less than two years later they are peeling horrifically. Like all over the shoe the outer coating peels more and more whenever it gets wet, which is obviously a problem for a "waterproof" shoe. So far the calves are the worst part, so I haven't noticed any water leaking, but I can't really wash them since even gentle wiping with a wet rag when wet makes them peel more. They're also cracking at the eyelets. I do live in western Washington & we play in lots of mud and deep water many months of the year, but I expected more than 2 seasons out of these.

This is my second pair of Tretorn Viken boots. I have had the first pair for nearly 10 years. I love them so much, I got another pair for if/when the first pair wears out. I use them for rainy walks at home and especially for walking the beach with my dogs. They slip on and off easily but manage not to be sloppy. My feet stay comfortable and dry.I tend toward a narrow, high-arched foot but I think their flexibility would make them comfortable for anyone.

Disappointed. I love the way these look. I even found a you tube video of someone wearing them and they looked great. The ones i got, first of all, have bits of paper stuck to them, probably from being in the box too long and some moisture getting in. They fit well, but something about the angle didn't work for me because i have plantar faciitis (i always forget how to spell that) so i felt pain almost right away. Also there is NO cushion in the foot. At all. And they are very heavy boots. Another issue i had, which was very disappointing, is that when i pull the drawstring tight, it makes ripples, which doesn't bother me visually, but it creates little openings where water and the rest of nature can come in. i know most rain boots are open at the top anyway but that is one of the things i was excited about. Didn't work out. Ill either return them, or give them away. Too add something positive, the lining on the inside feels nice, and they slip on easy. My foot is 9inches and the size 8 is just right. Enough room in the toe for thick socks, but not too big when wearing with thin ones. They feel like good quality boots. well made, just didn't work for my preferences.

Want to love these, and if my calves were smaller, I would. I usually wear a size 8. I ordered up because of the reviews. They just barely fit around my calves, but since they have a drawstring and are supposed to look "not tight" on your calves, I won't wear them often. They are also narrow.
