I purchased these two years ago but have not had much chance to wear them until recently. These are the most comfortable hiking and/or work boots I've worn, and that is saying something because I've generally been happy with previous boots. My feet are an average size 10 and the 10's fit great. The best features of these are that they don't feel like they weigh more than any of my non-work, non-hiking boots or shoes, and that the toe space feels very comfortable with the perfect amount of room. They feel secure and fitted on my feet yet they don't cause any fatigue over the course of the day.
The arch support is amazing. Very comfortable. I work for a non-profit camp and needed sturdy shoes for work that I wouldn't have to replace every few months like my new balance or acex sneakers. They are in fact waterproof, as I discovered working zip one day. The laces stay tied all day if doubled-looped, but are still easy to unlacecin a pinch once you've done it enough times. Arrived over a week early too!!
Very comfy, lightweight boots. I am a grad student and i work in the lab everyday at least 6 hours standing/walking.i could never find the same level of comfort these boots provided in any kind of shoes before including New Balance, Nike or other brands of exercise shoes. And i am a person who gets tired quickly and needs to sit down for 10 minutes every couple of hours. These boots are like magic. They also keep warm without making my feet sweaty. I am very happy with this purchase and next time i am buying the same thing.
I really love these boots! They came quickly from the seller and look great, I also love that I supported a veteran owned business (which I found out after my purchase). I tried on many boots and these were the best I found in comfort and, honestly, style. It's fairly easy to wear these anywhere (not just hiking trails) as they are a classic hiking boot style that is sort of in right now. I also found that the shoe was very comfortable for my foot, which apparently is a hard foot to find comfortable hiking books. I have a high arch and a pretty narrow heel, pretty normal width, maybe a hair bigger than average. I found other boots that weren't comfortable at all on my heel and sometimes they really varied on their sizing! This one fit me true to size, is comfortable on my heel and is just a teeny bit tight on the widest part of my foot, but in the limited time I've worn them, it already has loosened up a bit. Moral of the story: I recommend!!
I owned a pair of these boots more than 10 years prior tp this order. These boots are Amazing, super good quality, comfort, and excellant tread, I never even had to replace shoestrings in all the years of ownership. So with my great experience I chose to buy these boots again. Oh, the warmth is also great made for winter and fall.
I ordered these right before our trip and did not have a chance to break them in. I ordered a half size up after reading reviews and knowing we were going to be hiking in cold weather, so I wanted to wear medium smart wool socks. They fit perfect with the socks and to my surprise I never had any issues with breaking them in. No blisters or rubbing. We increased our hikes each day so i worked up to the last day but by the end they were comfortable and did well on the rocks and soft sand we encountered in Utah. I used mink oil to seal them but we never encountered any water so I was not able to test the water proofing. I like the fit and the support and the dark brown color looks great! I am very happy with these boots.
Love these boots! These boots arrived 2 days before my 8 mile mountain hike and I was nervous that they will be painful since I didn't have time to wear them in. However, these boots were amazing. They don't need to be worn in, are super comfy, you almost feel like they bounce you off the ground, and my feet were barley tired at all and there was no pain. I wear 7 in tennis shoes and ordered a 7, and they were perfect. I bet in colder weather, I'll even have space for thicker socks. I highly recommend!Haven't worn in rain or snow, so can't comment on if they are waterproof.
A little narrow around the toe, but otherwise perfect! I wear a 7.5 in most all shoes and some brands run small while some run small. That is not the case with Timberland's... They are a perfect, exact fit for your individual size. Super comfy, warm and waterproof!
