AMAZING BOOTS! Read full review

This is the best set of boots I have ever purchased. Initially I took them out of the box put them on my feet and went OH NO! They were too tight and I almost returned them. Another reviewer had commented that they had returned them strait out of the box because of this. I'm so glad I didn't return them because after only about 15 minutes of wearing these boots the formed to my foot with amazing comfort. They fit great now, I don't feel my feet aching after 12 hours on my feet and come Friday I don't feel pains shooting threw my feet any more. They certainly protect your foot as well, the heel shank, metatarsal guard and steel toe make this boot bomb proof. Another reviewer commented that because these boots are so solid it makes it hard to kneel down, I haven't had a problem with this after the first week. I even found out because these boots are so solid I can put my toes flat on the floor arch my heel up and sit and rest my butt on the heel of my boot which is great for extended time on the floor. Also as you step timberland designed the front section of the sole to arc a little, its a little hard to explain, but this feature almost pushed you forward as you walk. All of my co-workers are jealous of my boot's because with these boots my feet are bomb-proof and fatigue proof as well. These are an all around good buy and please don't be discouraged if these boots don't initially fit, give them a day or two to adjust to your feet. I feel really confident these boots will hold up a long time in the worst of conditions and I will absolutely see my moneys worth from them.

Heavy But Comfortable

These boots are the comfiest I have ever worn even though they are also the heaviest and they fit true to size. I've been wearing them for a year and they are still going strong. They have a steel toe and a built-in metatarsal guard that doesn't bother the top of your feet. And in case you are wondering, the met guard works, a motor fell on my foot and it saved me from getting seriously injured. I can't recommend them enough. This is coming from a guy who used to buy only Red Wing Loggers for years.

Good, but very heavy.

Fantastic boots, hold up to everything I can throw at them: diesel, gas, fire, the abrasion of walking on asphalt all day, being run over by a forklift, dropping a running chainsaw on them... Love these boots. Oh yeah, waterproof up to the ankle as far as I can tell. I can *see* the difference in the size of my calfs from walking around in them all day.The only con I can think of its that even the wide size is a bit narrow in the toe for my very wide feet. Also, I sound like Frankenstein walking around inside in theseEdit: One year in, and they are still holding up fantastically. I'm on my feet all day at work, asphalt, concrete, gravel, muriatic acid, bleach, diesel, acetone; these boots don't care. Fifteen months in and I'm only seeing a bit of wear on the tread, and a bit of cosmetic cracking of the leather, but I don't take as good care of them as I should. These are, by far and away, the most comfortable footwear I have ever owned. 12+ hour days don't even start to hurt my feet. Plus, with the anti-microbial and goretex lining, there is no boot funk as they dry out super quick so no foot odor.

An introduction to the recently purchased boots

These boots appear well built. I was impressed with the flexible rubber mid section. This allows a very comfortable "flex".I did not go a full 5 yet because they just arrived, winter is ending here in Indiana and they are insulated so they will not get an extended wear for another 8 months or so. I did not expect the full steel toe extension to mid foot but I am more than pleased by this!I do not work in an environment that requires steel toe support and bought these boots for a different purpose. The tread on the sole is fantastic and will update after I wear then for extended periods. The weight is not bad considering the material used to make these boots.

12 hours a day, 6 days a week, and no problems.

I've been using this pair of work boots for about 4 months now at my job working as a welder, and they have stood up to everything I've thrown at them so far. After destroying multiple pairs of other boot brands due to being exposed to extreme heat, UV light, carbon dust, hot slag, power tools dropped on my foot, and super heated welding rods being stepped on, these boots have been the first to hold up thus far.The break in period was only about a week, with the met guard being the biggest issue for the first 3 days. After that, they eventually became more comfortable than my tennis shoes unless I'm hiking up hills.Pest part I like about them is the heat resistance treatment they have on the soles. I step on hot metal all day, every day due to the amount of arc gouging and sanding I perform at my job, and the bottoms of my boots still look perfectly fine, while other boots I've owned always ended up melting, or getting a chunk of metal embedded directly into the bottom, forcing me to cut it out with a knife.Only issue I had with these boots was the fact that they have a funny rubber squeaking sound for the first few weeks, but eventually it goes away as they get more and more broke in. Don't expect to sneak past the supervisor in a quiet hallway for a hot minute.
