I just recently ordered my third pair of Timberland Mt. Maddsens in 6 years. Years back I had a nasty case of planar fasciitis and these bad boys helped me heal. Since then I haven't worn any other boots. They're lightweight and breathable, waterproof and durable. Very little (if any) break-in time is required with these and the cushioning is top-notch. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for comfortable all-day boots.
these boots fit right out of the box.no breaking in required.if you have wide feet like i do these have a large toe box so no toe cramping.i have walked through some shallow steams and they are waterproof.love these boots and i am very picky. i actually bought 6 pairs of comparable bootsfrom amazon to test out. i sent the other 5 pairs back.happily these were not the most expensive, just the best by a long shot.
The boot itself is fine for what it is—a basic hiker. It is not, however, waterproof. The description said it was waterproof with a gusseted tongue. The boots I was sent were not that. I’ll keep them to avoid the hassle of a return and because they are relatively comfortable. Not pleased with the misleading description though.
I'm always hesitant to purchase footwear online. But when I saw these boots I really wanted them.when they arrived I immediately tried them on and wow!!! .... love the fit and the look. I'll be getting a lotta "mileage" out of these shoes. good quality coupled with a good appearance. nice job !!!
Fit well right off the bat. Had alittle raised area on the side by the little toe but took care of that by replacing the insole with a gel type. Replaced the laces with paracord but I do that with all my boots. Worn these every day as my work boot since I received them and they seem to be holding up well.
Very pleased with these. I owned a pair of Timberlands before this and loved them, but I heard that their quality went way downhill, so I was worried. I wanted a boot that was waterproof, but also light, as I live in Colorado, and wanted a daily boot that I could wear out in the snow and to work.I have to say that I am extremely impressed with these. The fit is fantastic. We've had 2 winter storms so far and my feet have stayed completely dry! Also, the days that I wear them to work my feet aren't overly hot. These are exactly what I was looking for and I highly recommend!!
After reading some reviews i was a little hesitant to buy. I've been wearing these boots for months. Snow, rain, your normal Northeast winters and they have held up just fine. The laces haven't torn, the soles haven't come off. They still look great and I don't have any issues with water proofing.
