The Timberland Men's Powertrain Sport Alloy Safety Toe shoes are excellent for anyone seeking both comfort and security at work. This model stands out due to its thoughtful combination of modern aesthetics and reliable protection. Whether you're working long shifts or tackling heavy-duty tasks, you'll appreciate the lightweight feel. The Anti-Fatigue Technology integrated into the outsole is particularly effective; it keeps your energy levels up, allowing you to remain productive without feeling worn out by the end of your workday.
Moreover, the shoes' breathability is noteworthy. The use of nylon and recycled materials creates a comfortable environment for your feet, reducing sweat accumulation and enhancing overall comfort. The alloy safety toe not only meets safety standards but does so without the heaviness of conventional steel toes, which many workers find cumbersome.
However, while the Timberland Powertrain Sport excels in many areas, it's important to consider fit before purchasing; some customers have reported that the sizing can vary. Overall, if you're in search of stylish yet functional work shoes that won't compromise on safety, this offering from Timberland is definitely worth considering.

I wear this shoe doing all types of handy man work from plumbing to construction. They are the wide versions and the toe box does not compress my toes even with the steel toe. I did add a pair of toe protectors. Brand i used is--> ( Boot Saver Toe Guards Work Boots Protector - Boot Toe Cover/Repair 1 Pair (Black) Bending down forces you to work with the toe box digging into a hard service. The rubber protects the toe box. Great shoe for the money.Update: The pictures included are after 9 months of serious work in all kinds of conditions from farming to construction. The shoe is still in very good condition, notice the bottom wear, and even the strings are still holding strong. Even though they are a composite metal toe guard i never notice they are there. YES i would purchase this shoe again.Update: July 8 2020. The Pros lasted 15 months of tough abuse from farming, to construction, even riding my mountain bike. They are tough. The shoe uppers lasted great even the laces. The bottoms wore out with holes appearing by the 15th month, however i did the bottoms no favor by riding my mountain bike with a set of small spikes on the pedal for stability. I bought another pair and they fit like a glove. I love this shoe.Update Aug 2021Purchased my 3rd pair. My second pair lasted 13 months. The bottom of shoe held strong but the sidewalls got ripped by bobwire and eventually tore through with time. Still a great.show and the 3rd pair just as comfortable. I always add the toe protector.
I got these in wide because for the past two years I'd been wearing Reebok Sublite's aka concrete blocks on my feet and those were pinching my toes. These are better in that regard but I'm having an issue where the metal toe guard rubs on my right toe. Almost like they made a wide shoe but didn't make the toe guard any wider and just used the same one.The sole of these are pliable but not soft. The exterior is seamless so you won't tear your shoe up because it got caught on something. The laces are rather short but that's also kind of a good thing because then they won't snag anything. There's enough cushioning that your feet won't hurt at the end of the days.A huge bonus of these is the slip resistance. I walked into a trailer where there was a spill that nobody knew about or could see because the substance was clear and I *felt* the shoes gripping the floor. Reached down and felt the floor with my glove and it was slick. If I didn't have shoes with good slip resistance I'm sure I'd have fallen.Overall I'd have to say these are worthy of wearing to work. They're light and cushiony enough. I'm sure the insoles will need replaced after 4-5 months like every other work shoe ever. I'll most likely get another pair in the future to replace these.
sole lasts forever, grips surfaces well, and is comforatable
Been wearing these for 5 years or longer. They only last me about 4 months the way I walk around as well but make great for comfort, protection, and some freedom of movement compared to boots (unless of course required, at my job it’s optional as long as they’re steel toe of a sort).
Tried 2 Keen safety toe shoes & these Tim Pro’s & there’s really no comparison. The Keen safety toe shoes (not boots) are awful and literally dig into the knuckles of your toes if you walk up a hill or get down on your knees. I’ve had to check these shoes 3x lol to make sure they have the safety toe.Insoles that come with them aren’t great but that’s to be expected now wth new shoes. Have worn these 2 weeks about 100 hours so far & truly no complaints as of yet. I will update as time goes on, but once there’s a bunch of snow there’s no replacement for good boots, so I may have to update this review in like 6-7 months. Was quick to give the other shoes 1 star. These shoes deserve the 5* even after 2 weeks just due to the cushion, protective cover & lightweight. Couldn’t be much happier or ask more at this point
They fit great like they are supposed to.
product is good but is not the same fit as other shoes that i have purchased thru this company before
These timberland work shoes. are the most comfortable.ive worn in the last 30 years as a groundskeeper. I'm on my feet over 10 hrs a day. with these timberlands it feels like i have my sneakers on.not to mention they look good to. i would recommend them to any one that has to wear a safety shoe and needs them in a wide. they are true to the size and width.aluminum shaft gives your toes the room you need.
