I’m a firefighter and Have had these about a year now and wear them every shift. They are holding up very well and are very comfortable, fit like a pair of sneakers. They definitely have great grip and do not slip. Highly recommend.Update****8/18- the boots over the past few months the boots have developed a tear in the heel cup from donning and doffing repeatedly. They are unwearable as of now. Got a little over a year of use before the tearing began. May go back to bates.
I WOULD WARN ALL MILITARY AND FIRST RESPONDERS TO AVOID THIS SELLER!!! I originally ordered this boot because of the reviews. I am a disabled vet who recently had surgery on my right foot. Doc told me to order boots with composite toe, 1/2 size larger than normal, and extra wide. So I ordered this product, the product looked good, quality construction, but the toe box was too small, I later discovered smaller than other boots of the same size. I requested a refund and return of the product. After I sent the boots back I found out that the seller charges a 25% restocking fee. They should have revealed this when I requested a refund. I explained this to the seller but Amazon stated that the seller was adamant about the restocking fee. LOOK ELSEWHERE TO BUY BOOTS AS THIS SELLER LACKS COMPASSION OF ANY PHYSICAL ISSUES YOU MAY ENCOUNTER! IT IS OBVIOUS THEY ARE MORE CONCERNED WITH PROFITS THAN PEOPLE, POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!
I bought these for motorcycle riding. They are very comfortable and look good too. I will be buying another pair when these wear out.
Bought medium width to wear with lightweight socks and they are perfect. If I needed boots to wear with heavy, winter socks I would need the wide width.Update: after 5 months of wear, the inside plastic heel stiffener has broken and worn through the inside fabric. Now it is all sticky and uncomfortable to wear. On the plus side, the sole has held up well and shows minimal wear.
Runs very small!! We ordered half and size larger and in a wider with, but they still weren't wide enough and the way their made we didn't think wearing them longer would help so we had to send back. But they were very well made boots and we had fast easy delivery but weren't big enough.
Great fit and easy on and off.
Husband wore them for 11 hours working without breaking them in and said they are so comfortable.
They don't last side blows out with in 3 months
