True to size, minimal break in period, and comfortable all around. I was skeptical about a safety toe, but you hardly realize it is there. Easy on and off which makes it great for the late night dispatch. A little loose fitting in the lower leg from what I’m used to (Whites/Nicks), fits more like a rubber structure boot than a leather work boot. Would definitely recommend.
Bought the extra wide model after experiencing foot pain with another brand of boot. The leather took a nice shine with polish and the zipper laces were easy to adjust. So far they are very comfortable in comparison to my old boots which is important because I wear them for 18hrs/day.
Shoes are great for outdoor work
These boots are great and are true to size. I wear a 12D in other boots so I ordered the same size in these boots and they fit great. If you have never owned a pair of lace up boots it's going to take some re-lacing and adjusting to get a proper fit.overall the boots are well-made and take a shine extremely well. so if you are looking for a great pair of wild land / medical boots I would say that these are the ones for you.
These boots are absolutely the worst pair I’ve ever owned. Toes started falling apart after one fire. The boots are extremely uncomfortable. When walking on uneven ground consistently the boots will rub the top of your toes raw. Very painful to wear.
This boot is durable and comfortable. I feel it is a great option for a station boot, and doubles as a wildland firefighting boot. Boot is very comfortable, and was a great price.
My husband went to a Red Wing store and got fitted for shoes. They didn't have the ones he needed, so we looked online. These are the exact boots he wanted and were much cheaper. Granted, we don't get the Red Wing warranty, but still worth the price. He wears them on 12 or 24 hour shifts. He loves the arch support and the overall boot. The only downside is that the boots are heavy, especially as his shift comes to a close. The thick sole also makes my husband really tall (he is already tall and doesn't need help). They are quick to go on with the zipper. We added small key rings to the zipper to make it easier to pull the zipper up and down. He has had these for over 2 years and wears them at least 3 shifts a week. He polishes them about once a month. They show some wear and tear, but still are in great shape.
The boot is very sturdy and of high quality, the only thing to consider is that they fit tight so you may want to get 1/2 size or even a whole would be best
