Exactly what I was looking for! I’ve been wearing the full strap Teva hiking sandals nearly everyday for over 5 years and have worn them to death. I was leaving the ankle straps unvelcro’d so it was easier to slip on and off, they looked ragged and faded and the soles were starting to separate. I wanted to find a similar sandal with the same arch support, footbed, heel cupping and comfort in a more presentable shoe that was easy to slip on and off. This shoe is perfect! Teva tends to run a bit narrow which is ideal for me and these stay on brilliantly even on light hikes. They stay on great even without adjusting the straps because the straps come up onto the foot enough. I did recently try to tighten the straps to see if it made a difference and if the adjustment would hold and it has so far. But it’s not really necessary, they feel very secure even loose. And wow they look great! I wish Amazon had the brown ones in stock in my size, I would love to have another color as well. These are absolutely true to size, I wear a 9.5 and it fit perfectly, it’s not in UK sizing. I posted pictures Side by side of my beloved raggedy old hiking sandal next to these new stunners to show how the footbed and arch is essentially the same.
The sandals were true to size, but the clasp does not keep the sandal strap tight. I purchased these and they were delivered while I was gone on an extended vaca so no chance to return. Totally disappointed.
They are the perfect fit, look awesome but are SO UNCOMFORTABLE. The soles are hard and so are the straps and dig into you. I walked about 50 feet and they were killing me. Of course I sent them back. For $70 they should have made me feel like I was walking bare foot. So disappointed.
When the sandals first arrived I thought they were horrible, couldn’t get them tight enough without strap dragging the ground and the strap would not stay in place…walked around the house and was going to return but the next morning I put them on to walk to the other end of my house but did not tighten strap at all. I realized they fit my feet and were more comfortable than tightening the strap. I continue to wear them and have actually ordered another pair. I love them and would definitely recommend.
I love these sandals so much, I bought a second pair. So comfortable, I can easily walk in these all day and not have sore feet. I pretty much lived in these all last summer, wore them in the house and out. I have high arches and a history of plantar fasciitis and these are awesome. My only complaint is that they don’t come in a variety of colors, I’d love to have more options than black or brown.
I love the look, but the strap continually loosens as I walk. The shoe flops around.
