I bought these shoes when I realized that I really need dancing shoes although dance classes is just an occasional hobby. I was always afraid that dance shoes will be too narrow and with poor arch support (usually I never wear heels like these). I felt nervous when I first saw these shoes - they seemed really narrow. But when I tried them on, they fit perfectly! They turned out to be exactly as wide as I needed (I chose size 10). I have very wide feet (plus valgus...) and it is always problematic to find shoes which would fit me. These fit just fine. I didn't try dancing in them yet, but it feels very comfortable when I try them on. The heel is also very comfortable, provides good support and the foot is not shaking as I imagined before. Overall, I am very satisfied with how the shoes fit my feet and besides they are very pretty and beautiful color!
These are perfect!! My fiancé and I are taking dance classes for our wedding. We have grown quite passionate about it as well in the meantime. I ordered these so I could better progress. Lots of compliments on these cute shoes. They will work wonderfully for our wedding day too!
I'm a bellydancer and bought these shoes to wear at my first restaurant gig. Having worked as a server, and having talked to more experienced bellydancers, I knew there was no way I was going to dance barefoot in a restaurant. That's just asking for trouble! (I think it may also be a health code violation.) Other reviews said these shoes were pretty comfy and fit as expected. Since I can wear an 8 or a 9 depending on how it's made, I went with an 8 1/2 and a 6cm heel in the Champagne color. The fit is slightly snug across the ball of the foot and in the toe box, but I think this will loosen up with a bit more wear. These shoes were comfy enough out of the box to wear for the duration of a 2 1/2 hour showcase. The suede soles were very flexible and offered just enough traction to keep me from slipping around on the floor, but had just enough slip for spins and Arabesques. The 6cm heel was enough to give me a little added height, but still low enough that I could go up on relevé and have a noticeable level change. For me, the Champagne color practically matches my skin tone. The color is very neutral, and will go well with just about any color of dance costume. Please note that these are NOT street shoes. The suede soles are specifically for dance. Wear them out in wet weather and the soles will be ruined. The only thing I'd change is the heel caps. They come with standard black plastic heel caps, which most dance studios don't allow. I may have these changed out for rubber heel caps later. Overall, these were a good buy!
I got a 1/2 half size larger as some had mentioned it ran small. It was a bit too long in length causing the heel to gape a bit. I don't think I could go have gone smaller though because the front part felt too tight. Overall it feels uncomfortable due to the tightness across the widest part of my front foot (which won't stretch since they're not leather) and the loose heel. I tried the shoe with heel cushions to fill in but the front remains cramped for my wider foot. Designwise the heel seems to lack the correct curve to cup the heel and hold it secure. I just missed the return by a week so I'm stuck with these unfortunately. Lesson learned-shoes for people with sensitive feet like mine need to be purchased at a store where you can try them on.
These are beautiful dance shoes for the price. I don't understand the negative comments. They fit me size 8 perfectly. Anyone who knows dance shoes knows that the bottom leather piece is for dance floors only. No outside walking in them. The buckle is familiar because other makers make these type of buckles for dance shows and they are much more expensive than these. Mine arrived much early than expected and I am very pleased with the way they look and fit. I haven't tried them on the dance floor yet so not sure how long I can dance in them yet. Right now I am very pleased and if they are comfortable to dance in I will probably order another pair in black. I have the champagne color. I would like a lower heel because that is my preference, but 2 inch was the lowest they have.
Used these shoes to the Gatsby Party. They were comfortable to stand and dance in but by the end of the night my toes were definitely feeling it. The bottom of the shoes is fleece like fabric?? no rubber or other sole. Started brown in color so now the bottoms are tar black. That fleece like fabric absorbed whatever was on the floor? :-\ I don't expect the soles to last long because of that. Also the back of the heel is relatively high riding up to your ankle, I have skinny legs so the distance between my heel, ankle and the end of the heal cover was just enough not to rub my skin raw but if you have a thicker foot, especially the ankle part, expect to need to wear a bandaid or these shoes be very uncomfortable on the back.
I ordered these for the upcoming ball season in Vienna, Austria. They go with all my dresses and seem quite comfortable. I am not yet sure how they will feel after hours of dancing, but I plan to buy gel insoles to get some extra cushioning.I can now add some extra information about the shoes, and how they held up which may valuable for fellow dancers. I bought these shoes a while ago with the intention of taking them to Austria with me. After two balls and dancing from approximately 2230 until five o'clock in the morning (standard, Latin, Charleston and some disco), I can say that the shoes served me very well. I added some gel insoles, and my feet felt fine despite almost seven hours of dancing, including some crazy quadrilles and an even crazier gallop. The shoes are still perfectly usable, and I am positive that I will get many more hours of wear out of them.
The shoes look beautiful, but it feels that all materials are very cheap, when I tried to walk in them at home, I could hear the sound from the shoes that something gets "unstuck" when I lift up my foot. Do not recommended this pair, certainly not well put together for dancing.
