A few reviews said they are cheap.They are not cheap! Sperry has a newer high end “ gold cup”, maybe that’s what they were expecting? These are the plain Jane original boat shoe! They have improved with a newer material(EVA, I believe) for the heelcup! Makes them more comfortable! Other than that they’re just like the ones from the 70s and 80s I used to get all the time! I’ve worn for three weeks now. They are durable! No, stitching, coming undone ! Or rubber soles ripping! The real leather is stretching, and the shoe is becoming more and more comfortable with wear! I’m writing this review because I was hesitant on ordering these with the other bad reviews! The pair of” Sperry Men's Authentic Original Plushwave Boat Shoe” I receive have been fantastic! Will be buying again in the future! When these wear out!

This is the second pair of shoes we received. They were a Christmas present and when my husband opened the box, the sole of one shoe was not even attached. We were sent a replacement and he has only worn them for dress for one month and the sole is detached from the shoe on this pair also. We are VERY unhappy with Sperry and will no longer purchase shoes from this company. They have greatly disappointed us.

Another gift for our son. His old ones ( at least 5 years old if not older) were literally coming apart at the seams. The sole had torn off halfway down his foot. He was feeling the cold air coming in! So, we purchased a new pair for him. He always wears boat shoes. Only Sperry's. His last ones were a bit too big. I think these will work well for him. He just told me they're brand new, but will fit fine in a couple of days of all-day wear.11Wide.
