I have trouble finding a wide enough boot for my foot so that it’s comfortable when I wear it. These boots are nice and roomy, and very comfortable. I would recommend better insoles, but I don’t think there’s a boot company out there that puts a good insole in their boot When you purchased them new. So I always replace mine. But these are a very durable boot. After wearing them nearly every day for eight months, the soul separated from the boot material, and I just glued them back together and kept right on wearing them. It’s nice that the fabric breathes out but yet it’s waterproof , so my feet don’t sweat. The laces never wear out. Excellent quality boot!
One of the best pairs of shoes/boots I have ever owned! Period! Very comfortable, supportive and attractive. Highly recommend!
I frequently have problems with mid-height shoes like this that can badly chafe my ankles - apparently I have sensitive ankles. I've been doubling up socks while I break these in and so far thankfully that is NOT a problem with these boots which is a relief! I really like their appearance. They are indeed "relaxed fit" and if I was in the store I'd probably try a half size smaller to see if it would work, but I can wear them as-is. (My aging feet seem to prefer looser shoes now anyway.)I've only worn them a few times so far but they've already survived a day of heavy rains and held up well to the water. Still look new. They do show scuffs a little bit but it's not bad and they seem like they'll age well.My only issues with them:1. they are a little tight on the back of my foot just above the heel, below the achilles. No chafing but I worry that it may get sore or bruise if I walk a lot. (I'm tallish and take long strides so this part of my heel may take impacts more than most people?)2. The insole padding is not very thick or dense. My arches would prefer more support. I may see about swapping in some gel insoles if it becomes a problem.3. Maybe because they're slightly big for me, when I snug the laces down it pulls the upper together enough to distort its shape a little bit. I'm going to try lacing them looser than I normally would as long as my foot doesn't slide around.I do like their appearance and as long as they stay comfortable they should be great casual winter shoes.
Really good and rugged hiking boot. I took these out on a 7 Mile round trip in rugged terrain and they held up amazing. The grip and comfort really stood up to the test the entire day. I live out west and I am really hard on my hiking boots with varying terrain conditions. I did not take these through a soft forest floor or just flat terrain in the woods, but I'm sure they would work well for that after putting them through what I did. To give you some back drop, my other pair of hiking shoes are Adidas, which I really like as well and have amazing grip, but I needed a high top for ankle support, so I took a chance and bought these. My main hiking shoe is Adidas ax2 with the traxion sole which has amazing grip and they have been very good for the last 3 years. The Adidas are very light so I was a little concerned that these boots would be too heavy or not breathe very well and that's to be expected since they are a boot and waterproof. I went up and down all sorts of types of terrain and I will attach photos to give you just some idea of the type of terrain that these hiking boots went through with very little sliding and for the most part all day comfort. When I first put these on they were super soft and extremely comfortable. Build quality is very good..the materials they use are of high quality and this is probably the most comfortable hiking boot I've ever put on, but it made me a little concerned that they wouldn't be rigid enough to handle the type of terrain that I hike. I'm used to more mesh type of hikers, but these boots were light enough that they didn't bother me too much. Breathability could be better, but again they are a waterproof boot and made probably for more cooler weather so they are a little bit hot, but not too bad. If these hold up I think I found my new all-around hiking boot. The value and the material used and the overall traction that these provided me really add up and make this an all-around great hiking boot and not just for light trails either. I always test out my new hiking boots with a good trail with different areas requiring the boot to deal with steep upgill and downhill on loose and rough terrain and I even went over a stream, but I did not fully submerge..just about an inch through it and no water came through. I should also note that along the sides of the boot looks like air vents, but is actually not. Going up a very steep mountain the traction was great.. coming down the traction was equally as good. Tbh they exceeded my expectations. I highly recommendComfort 5/5Traction 5/5Weight 4.5/5Breathability 3.5/5Style 5/5Durability still yet to be determined. I'll try to update with more trial use.
I used my shoes for work. They look good and feel great
Took a while to get here since it came, I think, from the UK; maybe a little over a week. Was packaged well with no damage. Has a relaxed fit; not a slip on; very comfortable, but, most important, bottom of the sole has a good grip to the road; its high profile toe requires a little getting used to when slipping it under the shifter to up-shift on my Triumph Bonneville but just takes a little bit of getting used to.Update: Took a ride with the new boots on the Triumph; no issues getting the high profile toe of the boot under the shifter to up-shift; no effort, easily slipped under the shifter - Happy Camper.
I actually bought these to wear at work as I'm outside a lot. They were pretty stiff the 1st time I worn them, but after alternating between these and my old boots they loosened up. After two weeks they are quite comfortable. I would recommend them as I have 6 pairs of Sketchers shoes. All are just the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. They usually are not the most durable but I wear out every pair and I'm okay with that.
FID for about a month or less and the left shoe already has this huge indention in the back left side of the heel where it saved my foot. It’s not waterproof and it’s completely kind of a waste. As far as the shoe itself is, I love it as it’s truly slip resistant, it’s a thick boot, with top ankle protection, I wish the bottom sides were a little bit more protective, stronger to withhold damage. For the price of them, it’s pretty good and I would recommend it.
