I’ve always been a lover of Sketcher shoes but I wasn’t sure on Sketcher boots but I desperately needed some new hiking shoes and I could not pass these up from both the specs and the price. I’m very glad I decided to get these. They are super comfortable. I though they’d be hard to walk in when I first opened the box because they looked bulkier than I expected but they are PERFECT. They didn’t even need to be broken in, it feels like it already knew my feet. I’ve been wearing them in the snow all day and my feet are warm and dry. These are very slip-resistant, as well. I've purposely TRIED to slip and they didn’t budge. The only con I found with these is the strings. You have to make sure you do a pretty intricate knot when you tie them, as they come undone pretty easy on their own. It’s probably because of the material. It feels like the strings are waterproof material, which is great, so I see it as an opportunity to practice knots! Would recommend these boots for hikers 100%. If you work in a place with slippery or wet floors that do not require steel toe, these are your best shot.
Bought these to replace my old sketchers boots and they are a really nice upgrade. I’m usually a size 7 but bought a 7.5 like I usually do when I buy sketchers and these are perfect. They are extremely soft and warm inside. Will definitely buy them again!
I bought these for a friend who is starting a new job working outdoors in all weather with a lot of walking. He said they fit perfectly, were very comfortable and that he liked them. I was able to look them over and they appeared to be very nice, sturdy boots for the price. They are marked as slip resistant and have a sole that should wear well. I am very pleased with the purchase at this price compared to similar shoes in retail stores.
I picked these boots after a search in Amazon for "men's motorcycle boots". Pros: fit is nearly exact to my 8.5 medium width foot. Insole is very comfortable from the get-go and stays that way for hours of walking and standing. Perhaps the biggest pro is how light this leather boot is. It does have a firm composite toe, and is waterproof with a lug sole, and is still very light for all that. Cons: It will not work as a motorcycle boot for me, as the combined thickness of the sole and the rounded toe cap makes it very difficult to slip under the gearshift lever and then move back on top for a downshift when needed. Luckily for me, my other Skecher black casual low boots are just about worn out, and these can take their place. The only other con is one that is a bit too common with some Skechers...what seems like "self-untying laces"! These boots' laces are round and slick and are nearly impossible to keep tied. But replacement is a cheap and easy fix for a very comfortable, sturdy, good looking boot.
Very good and far cheaper than you will pay for high-end boots that I use to buy until I got a little older and end up hiking less than 10 miles a day.I added a CVS insert that I trimmed a little to give my foot a better fit. Depending on how my foot fits on a given day I sometimes wear an additional pair of socks to get a perfect fit for that date... Same thing for high-priced boots that I have had in the past.FYI: I purchased two different styles of Skechers boots of the same size and sent one back because it was too small for me... The first time I bought a shoe online and will probably do so... Also: I could not find those boots at any store where I live which is close to a large city.
Wore these all day to a Christmas Bazaar with lots of walking. My feet felt great.
I look at all the reviews for these boots and I wonder if everyone is reviewing the same shoe. The reviews are all over the place. For starters these are a leather boot. Some say they're not. The pair I received certainly look like leather. The bottoms are slip resistant. The numerous surfaces I have tried them on seem to confirm this. I didn't try them on ice. They are true to size. Sketchers has a thing about relaxed fit, in other words wide. Usually, that means to loose for me to wear as my narrow foot slips around in them. These seem to fit on the narrow end of the so called relaxed fit scale so they may be too narrow for some. They are incredibly comfortable to walk in and very light weight. Definitely lighter than any Redwing or Wolverine boot I have worn in the past. Many complaints regarding the shoe laces, they seem to be a shiny material. I had a different pair of shoe laces so I just switched them out so I can't comment on whether they unravel. Plenty of padding so very comfortable boots to wear. I come from a time frame when work boots were harsh to wear at the beginning and needed to be broken in before they became comfortable to wear. These to have managed to make that step all but unnecessary.
The soles of these boots are labeled as being 'Slip Resistant' AND 'Oil Resistant'. Many people have reviewed these boots as having been worn in the restaurant industry and said that they have been very satisfied with the quality.I am NOT one of those people. I have worn these boots for 2 shifts only and have been slipping AND sliding everywhere. I would like to return these boots, but I have already worn them twice. So, now I am going to be forced to spend more money to buy another pair of boots in order to be safe at my restaurant.
