Very comfy
I live in a sort of rural environment. Lately I've come to clogs because they are easier to take off when I come in and not bring sand and gravel to the floors. That is an issue because I'm older and have had a stiff knee for the past 40 years. They meet my requirement on that. Today was a different challenge. What shoes to wear in the damp and light rain. I tried the new clogs and they worked fine for my work outside for an afternoon. Yes the "new shoes" were dirty when I came in, but I was able to slip the insoles out and wash down the shoes in the sink. This was much easier than dealing with boots, etc.The shoes came and fitted loosely. I've a narrow foot, so that was no surprise. Adding a second insole fixed the issue and gave me better arch support as well as a comfortable fit.
I have read several reviews on these shoes and I guess these shoes are hit or miss with the quality. This is my fourth pair that I have bought. I have had no problems I usually buy a new one every year and I am happy each time. I work two cook jobs so I'm on my feet over 16 hours a day and like I said they last at least a year. For $35 what more do you want? The last pair I bought are still good and it's been a year and half. The ones before that the sole was coming off. I used super glue and haven't had a problem since. I have told all my co-workers about them and they love them. All cooks by the way. I don't know if everyone else works in crappy kitchens but I have had no problems and like I said comfortable. Even at Giada's where we don't have floor mats because the Chef's think they are unsanitary.I have had pairs of Dansko and I paid $125 for them and they lasted a long time. Maybe too long because they were uncomfortable as hell. Shoes for crews. GARBAGE! Bought three pairs and all fell apart after three months. After the time I could return them. Like I said I work two jobs so maybe 3 months for me is 6 months for most people. I also had some Keen shoes and while well made not comfortable maybe I should invest in some Dr. Sholes or something? All in all I really like these shoes and for the inexpensive price of less than $35 I can't really complain that much. Buy a new one every year like I do or buy some really expensive ones and Dr. Sholes and use that for three years. The choice is up to you.
I work in an industrial kitchen, so I'm hard on my shoes. That being said, shoes typically last me about 6-8 months before I replace them.Since summer was coming, I thought I'd buy these since they looked like they'd be more breathable (and thus, I wouldn't sweat like a pig). The material of the shoes is fine, waterproof, etc. The shoes fit great, don't cause me any discomfort and are otherwise exactly what I needed. So why a 1 star review?I've had these shoes for exactly 2 whole days. I've worn them for exactly two whole days. The soles of these shoes are, for some genuinely asinine reason, GLUED ON. Meaning, after two busy work days, the soles on BOTH shoes has already started to fall off.I'm going to try to fix this myself (sand paper and super glue will hopefully suffice, but who bloody knows) but all being said and done... I pretty much wasted $30.
My husband is a chef on his feet all day. He says these are the best shoes he has ever had. The only shoes we will buy in the future! Good fit, good support and good price!
Love this work clog and it’s slip resistance, but had to return it. The band over the top of the foot is way too tight for anyone that has a high instep. Wish it would have fit, I’ve been an Skechers wearer for years and this was a disappointment. Other than that, it’s a great shoe!
