Yes, they are pricey. But if you’ve ever owned SAS shoes, you’re probably going to bite the bullet and just pay the price. They are addictive, especially if you have a hard time finding comfortable shoes. They are sturdy. They last a really long time ( so I just justify the price that way. )Biggest mistake I ever made was buying my husband a pair years ago. Now… nothing else will do.
After much critical evaluation we as a team decided that the previous pair of SAS shoes, 11 1/2 Medium, and this order, 11 1/2 Narrow, had only one difference and that was the width on one said N and on the other one it had a M. everything else on the two shoes were exactly the same, length, width, color, insole width and velcro straps.If they had left the N and the M off the shoe they would have been EXACTLY THE SAME. I love SAS shoes and will wear them for years, always knowing that (N & M) on the tongue mean nothing.Thanks SCButler
I can't remember how long ago I purchased them. Must be at least 10 yrs or so, still as comfortable as ever. Only complaint I have right now is the velcro on the arch straps is wearing out and not holding, but like I said, 10 yrs or better is pretty good service in my book.
Have used SAS shoes for ten plus years and not disappointed yet.
This company makes quality footwear, but it is best to buy it on sale, as it is pricey. My elderly aunt got me started in the velcro fasteners and although I hated them at first, I have grown to really like them. Only problem is the shoes last a lot longer (for me 3-4 years of constant use every day) than the velcro(2-3 years). I know my size and I ordered it from this vendor. Had to pay full price, but did so gladly for the convenience of Amazon Prime. Shoes fit perfectly (I would expect nothing less from SAS). No problems at all.
