I've worn this style for over twenty years. Discovered them when the carpeted concrete floor where I worked began to take a toll on my feet. They are comfortable, attractive. and easy to care for. I don't think they would ever wear out; I buy new ones only as my feet grow.I especially like the elastic band under the tongue, because I have high arches and a knot on the top of each foot. Other shoes that cover the top of the foot make that knot hurt, but a very short snip in the elastic loosens it enough to make the shoe comfortable.
