The textile upper provides breathability, which is a must during warm days spent outdoors. You will appreciate the soft textile lining that hugs your feet, ensuring that even after hours of wear, your feet feel relaxed.
The standout feature of the Sanuk Chiba is undeniably its lightweight design, weighing only 8 ounces. This makes them a perfect companion for beach outings or short trips, as you won't feel weighed down by your shoes. The synthetic Happy-U tread outsole offers excellent grip, allowing you to walk on various surfaces confidently.
However, it's worth noting that while they are generally comfortable, users seeking greater arch support may find these sandals lacking. A combination of a slipper and a shoe. It's a slue! Seriously, it's very comfortable footwear. Recommended.
I'm loving these. They look great (in a casual way) and of course the best part is comfort. I found them surprisingly light. The sole is more substantial than I expected. And I was prepared for a total absence of arch support, BUT, to my pleasant surprise I found that the cushiony insole does form to the foot enough to provide some meaningful arch support.I've had them on several times now, and the last time the thought flashed, "My feet feel better in these than wearing nothing at all". My only negative . . . they seem just a bit tight. The length seems more than adequate (true to size) so the sensation must be from the width being a bit narrow for me (my foot is slightly wide). Only the "D" Medium width is available, so I'll be glad to keep them and just let them break in. I'm confident they'll break in easily and I'll end up with the ultimate comfort shoe (and with a pretty cool look).By the way, I selected the black. Great choice.UPDATE after wearing a month or so: Forget what I said about being too narrow. These things break in easily and quickly. Wearing them is an absolutely perfect comfort shoe experience. My wife just received a new pair yesterday and made the comment, "They feel good but may be a bit narrow". I told her to go ahead and wear 'em in in a couple of days it would no longer be an issue . . . . . . which is what reminded me to add this update about the width thing.
These loafers might be the most comfortable and quality made pieces of footwear I have ever had on my feet! I just hope they continue making this model forever!
I love these loafers. Not sure it is fair to call them a shoe because they feel like a cross between a comfortable flip flop and a house slipper. I had high expectations based on the reviews and the Sanuk Men's Chiba Loafer completely surpassed everything I was expecting. Looked better, felt more comfortable, and became my most comfortable summer shoes from the first day I wore them. The Chibas look great with shorts or pants, these have gotten numerous comments and people asking where I bought them. They are a nice alternative to wearing "flip flops" but to me they feel equally comfortable if not more comfortable.I wear size 13 and these fit as expected (like a glove) but what I didn't expect was the breathability. My feet don't seem to sweat or get hot in these at all and I really wasn't expecting that. I wear them without socks and so far I haven't noticed any "funk" even though they have been worn throughout the dog days of summer (hot and humid). They say they are machine washable (leave out to dry - no dryer) but I haven't had to do that yet.I feel like these are going to give me many years of great use and they are sooooo comfortable I am legit considering purchasing a second pair to use as house slippers since I struggle to find slippers that don't make my feet sweat too much. This product is a winner IMO and I will purchasing more from this brand in the future. I will continue to suggest this product to anyone who asks me about them. I plan on wearing these into the cool weather but they don't offer much in the way of protection from wet or snow. Great purchase, I waited for a while to pull the trigger on buying these for some reason but I am very happy I got them when I did.If you are on the fence I would say go for it and you can thank me later.
I LOVE these shoes, have had a pair for 10yrs.They finally wore out so I re-ordered this pair in the same size but they are too small.I am going to re-order up a size and hope they will fit.
My husband loves them.. perfect size and he wears them all the time.. will be purchasing another pair.. highly recommend…
I have been really happy with this shoe. I purchased it in size 12 and I have a pair of the Sanuk men's Fault Line flip flops also in size 12, and both fit my feet well. I normally wear a size 11.5 in running shoes from other brands like Adidas. For how this shoe looks, it is very casual and it has a particularly flat appearance, which I like. My feet look a little long in these, but in a fine way. By design the seams are frayed, but so far the threads are not long or very distressed. It goes along with the casual look. Some other reviews commented on how the raised logo on the insole's heel is uncomfortable and poorly designed. I will say that for the first half-day of wearing this shoe, I too felt the logo on my heel, and it bothered me. However, for whatever reason after wearing the shoe longer it stopped bothering me. I have found that Sanuks get more comfortable after they get warmed up, like the material becomes spongier after an hour or so of wear. So right now the logo on the heel is fine for me.The shoe is a little warm but not bad. It's not super breathable, but not uncomfortably hot either. I have worn it with socks, but I bet it could be good sockless, too. Sometimes shoes bother my ankles if there's any friction or rubbing, but this shoe totally avoids this problem because the material is low-cut and comes up below my ankle. Overall I am happy with this shoe.
I had never bought Sanuks before these, but I don’t regret buying them at all. They fit really well and they’re extremely comfortable. They are a bit pricey, but it’s worth it.
