If you’re searching for ballet slippers that provide exceptional comfort and a glove-like fit, the Sansha Silhouette Leather Ballet Slipper is an excellent choice. With its soft leather upper that molds perfectly to your feet, this slipper stands out as a top contender in the world of dance footwear.
The journey of the Sansha brand began in 1982 when Franck Raoul-Duval introduced an innovative split-sole design that allowed dancers to move more freely than ever before. Today, Sansha is synonymous with quality dance shoes, producing a range of styles suitable for various dance forms from ballet to hip-hop.

The Sansha Silhouette Leather Ballet Slipper truly embodies the essence of what ballet footwear should be. Its soft leather upper will mold and adapt to the contours of your foot, ensuring a comfortable fit during your most rigorous practices or performances. The pre-attached elastic feature is a standout, keeping your slippers securely in place without digging into your skin.
Performance-wise, the split-sole design sets these slippers apart. It allows for greater flexibility — essential for dancers who need to execute intricate movements. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced dancer, you'll appreciate how the canvas insert at the arch further enhances your ability to articulate your feet.
In terms of aesthetics, the pink color offers a classic look that fits well within any ballet class setting. The quality of the materials used speaks volumes about Sansha’s commitment to producing durable dance shoes. However, it's important to note that while these slippers are perfect for studio use, they are not suitable for outdoor performance due to the delicate nature of the suede sole.

I am not a ballet dancer. I just like to wear these around the house like slippers. They keep my feet warm and after awhile the leather molds perfectly to my feet. So I might like my slippers a bit looser than a real ballerina would, so keep that in mind.I am a woman's size 8-9 (US sizing) in most shoes. Typically an 8 1/2. I went to an actual store and tried these on to get the right size. My old pair wore out so I ordered them here. So I knew the sizing beforehand. I need a size 12 for these to be comfortable. An 11 would probably be fine also, if I were dancing in them. I have AAA narrow feet (as narrow as they come!) so I order the N (narrow) version. They fit my feet very well. A little (tiny smidge) wide in the toes. I would recommend trying different brands and sizes on in a ballet store and then sneaking away and ordering off Amazon if you can. Also, if you care, these shoes have a matte leather look. My old Sansha pair (same brand, size) are a more shiny leather. Could be use caused the leather to shine more, but I doubt it. The matte look is very nice, and gives the slippers a more light pink look. It is leather for sure. Not canvas.
The quality of the shoe is great and I will be reordering a larger size. Purchasing for my daughter who wears size 11US street size. After scouring the internet for guidance on this brand I purchased 2 sizes bigger than street, not 1 as is on product page and was still slightly tight. Will go ahead with ordering the 14 as the quality of materials and construction seems really good. Would recommend ordering 2 sizes bigger than street size for most persons.
This was my first time purchasing ballet slippers and I have to say that I really love them! The color is perfect and the quality of the slipper is great. I listened to everyone else's posts and ordered a size up from what I normally wear, my street size is 7.5-8 so I ordered a size 9, and I have wide feet but these fit great. You do have to sew the straps in place but I thought this was nice because you could adjust them to wherever you want them so they are comfortable. I would definetly recommend these to anyone.
I have high arches and a wide forefoot. I usually wear size 8.5 in street shoes, but know Sansha runs small. My foot is 4" across the metatarsals so I ordered the 9W and it fits great. Roomy enough not to restrict my foot (Capezios are so narrow, the ball of my foot sometimes creases) but snug enough that they will stretch to fit my foot with some time. The canvas insert along the arch hugs the line of my foot and stays flush with my arch through every position. It's a very flattering shoe. Elastics are included and are attached only at the heel, so you can sew them into place as best fits your foot.
The sizes are not at all accurate
Bought this ballet shoe for the 3rd time cause my daughter loves them so much and the price is great. Shes 11 yrs old and is small for her age. She normally wears a 4 in nike tennis shoes or a 3 in sanuk. I ordered a 5 in this and it fits perfect with a small amt of growing room she dances 15-18hrs a week and competes on east coast. Every pr ive bought last longer than she needs them too since she out grows them before the fall apart(usually 6mths) we love this shoe. Fyi she has a slightly wide ft and still wears a med wigth. Hope this helps u
I read all the reviews before I purchased my slippers about how they run small. I normally wear a 7-7 1/2 shoe, so I went with the size 8, thinking that I would be ordering up enough for it to fit. Boy was I wrong. It was way too small in the big toe, and dug into my heel. I do like that the straps are custom fit to your feet (downside is that you have to do it yourself). I will be re-ordering in a size 9 as soon as I have some extra spending money. I gave the smaller size to a friend with smaller feet (size 6 1/2), and they fit her perfectly. If you order, order at least a full size up, if not a size and a half.
I just got this item and the shipment was pretty fast. I live in Kuwait and got it in just 3 days!!! The packaging was alright nothing too fancy just the slippers in a plastic bag inside a box. I got a full size up as recommended by others, I usually wear a size 36 so i got the 7 (b(m and it fits perfectly! A bit tight from the front and just right from the back, but I'm guess this is how it's supposed to feel. Overall comfy and DEFINATELY RECCOMENDED!
