Bought these as a budget alternative to a similar Damsko pair. These look nice and have good support. I am fat and so are my feet and ankles :) I was worried about the ankle straps being too tight but I find they fit snuggly and actually offer some additional support - like a high top sneaker. The wide strap keeps it from digging in. Good for wide feet.
Update: Now that I have worn them about I have dropped a star. The adjustable toe strap gives plenty of room but because the leather is stiff my widest area of the foot wear it hits the strap was irritated after first use. It will probably soften up as I break them in more. Sanita seems to be using cheaper quality leather lately, I bought another pair last year of platform sandals that had this problem (even stiffer leather). The bed is a tad narrow. I do like the firm sole.Written below is my first five star review, out of the box impression. Please note that the older Sanitas I refer to had much softer leather, never had a need to break them in.I have two pairs of the Sanita Vanessa style which also have the same hard platform and quality leather. I have weak feet, soft and low arch. I need support. The hard sole and shape are very supportive and comfortable. I have a wider end medium width foot, and ankle - these fit great, love that they are adjustable because I have a bunion on one foot. I was measured at Rei's as an 8.5 M., I got the 39, 8-8.5, which is a good fit, but may be a little large for a size 8. I like the red color and the shoe is graceful looking. I have not worn these about yet, but read some say the are "tippy", the Vanessas had more straps around the foot and did not tip, I hope these don't. If they do I will change my rating. So far they feel the same as the Vanessa.
I adore these sandals... the mustard color is neutral-ish and so much fun with lots of my summer dresses/pants. They don't fit as well on my shorter foot with a bunyon, but if I loosen the strap it's bearable. I'm very limited in the type of shoes I can wear because I require a non-flexible sole. While these are not as perfect as Dansko or Sanita clog/mule, they are a hundred times more graceful and stylish. Glad DD I bought them... an acceptably comfortable shoe that offers adequate arch support and protection for my surgically fused great toe.
Very happy with this sandal. The color is as shown, the comfort level high, and there's good arch support. I have medium width feet with a narrow heel and find the adjustable nature allows me to "dial in" the perfect fit. Sanita shoes are high quality and the leather is nice. I like their clog sandals as well and can wear them all day in comfort. Oh, yes. And I usually wear an 8.5 (sometimes smaller) and size 39 was what I needed.
Shoe looks nice but the red coloring came off on my pinkie toe and the layer of the inside is coming off on the bottom of my foot after wearing twice.
I have had this sandal in black for about 10 years. It wears beautifully, and is very comfortable. The thick sole is about 1 inch high. I was pleased when I found it in the congac color. I highly recommend this sandal. My go to for summer.
I had really high hopes for these shoes. Beautiful design, looks adjustable... These shoes are not designed for thin feet or ankles. The straps don't really adjust down small enough to fit my feet comfortable. Sadly returning.
Loved the color 'honey'. It is the expectation I had of the color. My foot seats comfortably and the comfort lasted all day. The quality of the leather is superior to a big company who has shot the price way way up while making the product just chintzy. MT NC
