Comfortable and affordable. Looks nice and great for work, church or casual.
Very nice well made shoe . Fits okay with only problem being like some other people have said tight on top of foot. Very comfortable everywhere else . Length , Width , is great could have been a little looser in height . Maybe a little longer elastic in top stretch area . Never had any shoe fit tight there before . Not in any way does this not allow daily wearing just tighter then I like there . Great shoe .
Very sturdy, comfortable shoe! Previous pair literall lasted for years!
Very comfortable fit no break in neededAlways excellent shoe
Not only comfortable but light weight. On my feet all day , good support , getting a second pair in brown.
I bought a size 9.5 but they were too big. Ordered a 9 and he LOVES them! He says they're just like his old ones.
These shoes were just what I was looking for. They are comfortable, go well with many types of slacks, the sole is thick. I expect them to last me a while. I don't plan to wear them every day, maybe 2-3 times a week and based on what I have experienced so far, they should last for years.
To give some proper perspective on my problem with these shoes, I should first mention the previous pair of shoes that I owned, Skechers Relaxed Fit Artifact Excavate Slip-on. It is important to mention these shoes because the problem that I have with the Ropers, I never had with the Skechers. On to the review. When I got these shoes the first problem that I noticed was a slight tightness in the ankles. However, it was slight enough that I could give the shoes some time to loosen up. Other than that, I found them to be very comfortable. The first few days that I wore them, I found no problems. However, it is important to note that on those days I was on my feet intermittently. There was never a time that I was on my feet at any one time for longer than an hour. The real problem began when I went to work. While at work I am on my feet the whole time, for about 6 hours. The floors are very hard, with tiling and likely a cement base. Additionally, I may walk home after that, which is a 30 minute walk of about 2 miles. The first day of wearing the Ropers at work, my feet became sore after about only about two hours. My hip and back were sore at the end of my shift. I had no plans to walk home after that. However, I wasn't yet ready to give up on these shoes. I bought some gel inserts in the hope that I could eliminate the problem. The new inserts didn't help, at best they only delayed the problems. At the end of my shift my back and hip were still sore and at the time of this writing, a day later, they are still sore.Bringing up the Skechers that I had previously worn, I never had this problem with them. Not only could I work the whole shift with no problems, not only could I walk home with no problems, but I could proceed to do work at home with no problems; mow the lawn, rake the leaves, etc. With the Ropers, I can't even mow the lawn a day after work. Now with all that said, they aren't a horrible shoe. They fit comfortably and they, so far, look to be very resilient. Since, I'm stuck with them, I'll still be able to put them to use. Hopefully, they should be useful in the winter time. However, this review is intended to be a word of warning. If you are planning to get a pair of shoes to wear in similar conditions as described, do not get these shoes. They are not performance shoes.
