I really like the styling of these boots. Unique compared to most everything out there. Quality seems good and time will tell as this is the first pair of Roper boots I have purchased. Very important to mention though is they are definitely small. Order a full size larger than your regular size. I am a solid 12 D with Dan Post, Luchese etc. I had to get 13 D with these and the width is a bit snug
This is an awesome boot. Beautiful yet very cool. I read the reviews that said the boot ran small and ordered my standard size 11. It was a bit big. I then ordered a size 10.5 and it fit nice and snug. It's possible it was a bit too tight at first but being leather it stretched where it needed to and now fits like a well worn glove. The boot does have 1 flaw all owners should be aware of. The rivet on the outside of the hardness, as seen in the default pic is not a rivet but a screw and nut. The first thing you should do is to unscrew it, glue it, then rescrew it together. I just lost one of mine. I have a called Roper but they said they weren't available and to leave a message. So have to wait to see if they'll replace it for me.Update: Roper contacted me and after a couple emails offered to replace the boots for free. Unfortunately they can't or don't just replace the screw. I'm not going to take the up on it because I don't want to break in a new set of boots. So they've given me a 30% discount on my next purchase. Great Customer Service!
I've bought a lot of Roper boots over the years and usually run a size smaller and have to work them with boot stretch to get a custom fit. . I was able to get a heck of a deal for a sale and got a size up and they fit perfectly!! Already have compliments!! Have them proofed and ready to roll!
This is a really nice boot especially for the price. Runs a little snug so go with the next size up. I hope mine break-in a little for some relief.
One of the boots is too tight to put on and they look like they are sprayed with a gray paint instead of being an all black cowboy boot. Except for the eagle. Returning for a full refund. Thank you.
for 200 dollars i wasnt sure what to expect. good cowboy boots are pricey. these are quality. properly constructed and an almost perfect fit. i went 10wide because its a narrow pointy boot and a few hours in its tight on my toes but they will surely stretch. perfection
The look of these boots is amazing. They ran alittle on small side for me. However after wearing a few times they stretched out, and broke in better
I disliked how glossy the finish was so I tried to dull it down with some wax polish, but it wouldn't stick, so I tried to remove some of the finish with some acetone. The black came off and revealed white leather underneath which was very disappointing. I was able to die the boots black again using tattoo ink, which worked better than I expected. The boots now look better than when I got them. They have a more rugged dull finish and the wax polish actually sticks now. I gave them 4 stars because they were flawd when I got them but ended up looking great in the end. The work I had to put into th was an enjoyable experience for me so it did not merit a bad review.
